Excel London officially opened its Phase 2 extension on Saturday (1 May) by hosting the X Factor auditions in its new 5,000-seat auditorium. Other shows taking place in the expanded Excel London during the opening were Grand Designs Live, IX Investor and the London Golf & Tennis Show.
Commenting on the opening of Phase 2 and London's first International Convention Centre (ICC), Excel London CEO Kevin Murphy said: "We have already booked more than £125m in economic benefit to London in the ICC, and our forward-booking calendar shows that we have built exactly what the market was asking for."
