X Factor judge Cole has denied rumours that she is dating Dancing With The Stars hunk Derek Hough, according to a report.
Recent reports in tabloid newspapers had claimed that the pair are planning to move in together and said that Hough had spent nights with Cheryl at her Surrey mansion.
However, a source close to Cole has claimed that she is not romantically involved with the pro dancer.
An insider told a Sunday newspaper that Hough is "being used as a cover" to allow Cheryl to begin dating in private.
A source told the News of the World: "She says they're close but there's no romantic connection.
"But she doesn't care if people think something is happening because it gives her the opportunity to explore her options.
"Cheryl is ready to move on and start dating again."
