Past X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has called on the public to give the people who appear on the reality television show a break, praising the mettle of those who take part.

Yes how silly of us to judge the contestants who go on a reality show in front of four judges who judge them and then ask us to judge them by phone poll :drink:

Anyway who is she fooling. anyone who watched Fame Acedemy knows that most of their week is spent sitting around waiting for their slot with either Brain Freedman or the vocal coaches or in Tebbecas case, not moving from the spot requires no practice.

The issue here really, is that the second you launch your life into the public interest with VTs showing you blubbering each week because you want to win all the money and change your life the more you open yourself up as a target. Burke herself was an appalling user of the sob story and as for her mocked faint when she won. well dont get me started.

I couldn't stand Alexander Burke. I thought she seemed very false and a creep, and I seem to remember that I wanted anyone other than her to win! Well I wanted Diana Vickers to win that year until she got voted off, but then anyone rather than Alexandra to win.

^ Oh I so agree.... IMO she was ruthless in her use of the sob story and tears, which was such a shame as she has talent and didnt need to be so manipulative.

I have to admit thou the only winner I ever really liked is Will Young and that was more because back then we were allowed access to the build upm the vocal sessions and the run threws. Now all we get is some over made up bint pandering to the egos of the judges post the show.
