Not all publicity is good

Since leaving N-Dubz and starting
on X Factor, Tulisa has become a
bit of a fashion icon. As no-one
seems interested in the
contestants or the music any more,
the biggest X Factor PR story of
the week is whether she or Nicole
wore the nicest dress. So you'd
think Tulisa would have access to
all the clothes she wanted? Hardly.
Some of the best-known labels
have her name on their Do Not
Lend lists.

Not because she doesn't get any
coverage; not because she returns
items in a bad state (she doesn't).
The problem is with certain
upmarket department stores. One in
particular (with green bags) is
known to put in furious calls to
some fashion houses, threatening to
return stock, whenever they see
Tulisa wearing something from their
store. Why? Because they don't
think Tulisa fans are right for
their brand.
