Strictly Speaking

Claudia Winkleman answers your questions.

Last week, in our series of interviews with the stars of Strictly Come Dancing, we asked you to send in your questions for the It Takes Two host, Claudia Winkleman. Here she talks about taking part, her perfectly moment and guest, and what gets her dancing.

Sarah-Louise: If you weren't presenting It Takes Two would you ever consider being a contestant?
Have you seen me dance? Absolutely not. I'm not very good at moving around in general and think I would trip up. It would be too mean to the professional.

Kay asks: What has been your favourite routine of the series so far?

I thought Matt and Lilia's waltz was pretty fantastic but there will always be a place in my heart for Peter and Erin's samba

Tim asks: Who are your favourite male and female professional dancers?

I sort of love them all. For three months of every year they become like my family. The second they arrive at our studios we giggle and chat. I love Lilia and Camilla for their routines and their shoes.

Claudia asks: Out of the dances Len has taught you which one do you like best?
Gosh. I think the Paso is the most dramatic dance and he once tried to show me how to stamp my feet. As always, it ended in tears (his, not mine)

Rachel asks: Who's your favourite judge and why?

It's so hard to have a favourite. I think whoever cast them is a bit of a genius. They're like four separate elements of a rather strange yet perfect entity. I'd like to have supper with Len, high tea with Bruno, get my hair done with Arlene but I'd probably go on holiday with Craig. Underneath it all he's a lovely, lovely man (he'll kill me for telling you).

Amy asks: If you could have anyone on It Takes Two, who would it be and why?

Rob Brydon. And we had him.

Claire asks: What's been your favourite moment on ITT?

The Brendan and Craig 'discussion'. It was pretty fierce and exciting to watch. Then they called each other darling and we all had a biscuit.

Paul asks: What are you working on next, after It Takes Two?

Putting my children to bed.

Graham: Would you love to host your own chat show?
PLEASE let me do it in your living room?

Ann: What would be your dream job?

A sister show about celebrities learning to dance. Hang on a minute...

Laura: Is there another old programme you'd like to see revived and perhaps host?
Is Playschool still on?

Jo: What track is guaranteed to get you dancing?
Vodka

Charles: Who would be your ideal dance partner?

Lilia

Tina: Which celebrity would you most like to see on Strictly Come Dancing?

Christopher Biggins. Fingers crossed.

Reversal of Fortune

Mark and Karen talk about their Ballroom blitz on Saturday.

In the training room, Mark and Karen have been speaking about how they unexpectedly dazzled with their Ballroom routine, while they floundered in their Latin.

Karen was especially happy they'd gone out and showed that Mark could master a Ballroom dance.

"Saturday was great for me as it was our mission to master the Ballroom and we got four nines," she said.

"I was pleased to get the evening off to a good start with the Waltz," agreed Mark.

But while they were please with their Waltz, Mark was less than happy with his Jive - and in particular the negative comments it received from Craig.

"With Craig there isn't much middle ground and in the Jive there were a lot of things that were right, a five was harsh," he argued, adding, "I haven't looked back at the Jive yet, but I felt agile and didn't feel flat-footed."

Both discussed getting through to the final, with Mark his usual level-headed self about the possibility.

"It's a strong competition in the semi finals, the final is just round the corner. We're all suffering from tiredness, we need staying power to get over the last hurdle," he said.

Karen is more determined and said that right from the start she's had her eyes on the prize.

"The moment I agreed to come back after series three, I've been gunning for the final," she said.

"I've had an amazing journey with Mark, he's an amazing guy, I'd like to top all that by taking the trophy home." BBC
