STRICTLY Come Dancing star Phil Tufnell is hoping to clean up on the dance floor after using a broom to help him maintain good posture this week.
The ex-England cricketer had been struggling to stand tall as he practised a tango for tonight’s show – until partner Katya Virshilas came up with the simple idea.
Now the sportsman says he is confident he will impress the judges.
“I’m working hard, dancing the tango all around my kitchen,” the 43-year-old told fans via his Twitter page. Last night professional dancer Camilla Dallerup who won the 2008 series with actor Tom Chambers, described Tufnell as “a natural” on the dance floor.
“My favourite at the moment is Phil,” the Danish beauty said. “He’s got the spirit of each dance.” Strictly is on BBC One tonight at 6.50pm.
