Strictly Come Dancing leads the ratings once again as The X Factor loses out

The X Factor has been trounced in the ratings yet again, after Strictly Come Dancing led the Saturday-night viewing figures.

Although The X Factor’s audience was up slightly to 7.73 from 8pm last night, representing a 33.7 per cent share of viewers, it was no match for BBC1 show Strictly.

The dance competition managed an impressive 9m viewers and a 44.4 per cent audience share in its 6.30pm, meaning it consolidates its lead on The X Factor’s ratings so far this series.

Earlier this week, it was reported that X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell was planning to make changes to the programme in order to claw back some of the lost viewing figures.
