GEORGINA HITS BACK AT DANCE TV BULLIES STRICTLY Come Dancing star Georgina Bouzova yesterday hit back at the judges who belittle her on the show every week. The under-pressure contestant has been attacked for having two left feet every time she dances. Last week criticism hit a new low when judge Arlene Phillips told her she could not even walk properly. And in rehearsals this week the Casualty beauty was left sobbing after dance partner James Jordan launched a four-letter tirade, backing Arlene's cruel walking jibe. But yesterday Georgina, 30, hit back: "Arlene said I couldn't walk. She shouldn't say those sort of things because it's setting a bad example to children. "For a lot of people walking is an expression of individuality and to mould someone into walking the same as everybody else is wrong. "We're all different at the end of the day and we should be proud of expressing ourselves with our bodies, not trying to walk like the Stepford Wives. "Otherwise the world would be a very boring place. I think she was trying to be funny and it didn't work. For some reason I turn into a scared little girl when I'm in front of those judges. "We've had our ups and downs this week and it's been quite tricky. For some reason I am putting a lot of pressure on myself. "I think it's because I've had such a hard time from the judges two weeks in a row and I want to prove them wrong. "It's good for people to see that someone can learn and improve if you practise and work hard - especially kids." Georgina and James will tonight try to stay in the BBC competition against the odds once again. And she will have to dance through the pain barrier after injuring herself in the early weeks of the show. She added: "I'd love to be in next week, I just want to get better and better. But my back is really hurting still. It's been hurting ever since the rhumba because James had to lift me in a really strange way. "He basically dug into my ribs and lifted me up - but he just said no pain no gain. "It's all right now but I'm taking a lot of pain killers." Mirror |

29 October 2006 People SHE'S A DANCE CASUALTY TV babe's delight but reality trio get push CASUALTY star Georgina Bouzova and her dance partner James Jordan were booted out of hit reality show Come Dancing last night. They lost to Dead Ringers comedienne Jan Ravens and Anton Du Beke in the last place dance-off. As blonde Georgina, 30, was evicted, she said: "I've had the best time in my life. "I think I'll carry on dancing. I've made some really good friends and I'm going to miss them." Earlier, the BBC1 reality sensation burst into controversy when Brendan Cole - partner of Emmerdale bad girl Claire King - fumed at judges' cutting remarks and "inconsistency". He told them: "If the sky is blue stop claiming it's pink". There had already been emotional scenes at the dress rehearsal when EastEnders babe Louisa Lytton cracked under pressure and fled AGAIN. The brunette beauty told shocked partner Vincent Simone: "I can't do this. I'm no good at it and I'm going to make a fool of myself." Louisa, 17, broke down in tears while struggling to master the foxtrot - just as she did two weeks ago after fluffing rehearsals for the quickstep. An insider revealed: "She prefers the Latin styles and scored full marks last week. But it made her even more worried that she'd let Vincent down with her ballroom routine. "Louisa's the youngest contestant by far and can't cope with the pressure. She's hard on herself and doesn't think she matches her rivals." |
