Craig Revel Horwood answers your questions.

We asked you to send in your questions to judge Craig Revel Horwood and you did in your droves. We put a selection to him about such subjects a Brendan Cole, Ballroom vs Latin and who he thinks will be in the final.

Wiebke asks: What are you looking out for most in a celebrity's performance?
Craig: A performance and danceability. Also timing and good footwork.

Teri asks: In your opinion what is the toughest, Latin or Ballroom dances - and why?
Craig: I think Latin is the hardest because the celebrity is left to their own devices a lot of the time. In ballroom there is hold which makes it easier for the celebrities.

Paul: In terms of choreography, what makes a good routine?
Craig: The flow if the piece, the musicality of the steps within the structure of the music. Also the amount of flexibility the dancers have when moving to the music.

Nina asks: Do you sometimes think that people are unnecessarily nasty to you about your opinions on the dancers?
Craig: Yes, I do because it's my honest opinion and hopefully people see that. I encourage as well and I commend people and people forget about that they just pick the nasty stuff. If people can't deal with me being honest, I think that's crazy.

Pete: Do you think Brendan was right to criticise the judges?
Craig: Not at all. What was his point? All four judges have different opinions and yes, we're not all going to agree on absolutely everything. If we did then why have four judges? You could just have one; Len Goodman if you want to be completely technical.

Dance isn't just about technique. It's about your soul dancing and what you portray in that character, in that dance and that's why I'm there to comment.

Miss Graham asks: Over the four series who do you think has been the best celebrity dancer
Craig: It has to be Jill Halfpenny. She was just amazing. She picked it up really, really well. She had fantastic footwork. She applied herself the entire series and didn't let anybody down.

Which professional dancer do you enjoy watching the most?
Out of this series, I loved watching Ola. I thought she was amazing. She's a Latin Goddess. I loved Hannah Karttunen in series one. I thought she was extraordinary. She was feisty, and she had the most bendy back in the business. And extraordinary legs and her personality was extraordinary as well.

Alison asks: How did you get into dancing?
Craig: Through school, in Balaratt where I'm from in Australia. I went to a couple of dance classes and showed some promise and I was then put into a school to learn all sorts of dance; classical, jazz, tap, modern, everything. I absolutely loved it and took it further.

Charles asks: What's been your career highpoint?
Craig: A musical called My One and Only that was in the West End. It had all forms of dance. It had ballroom, Foxtrot, Tango. It had loads of tap dancing. It was a dance-driven musical which I really, really loved.

Terry asks: Can you tell us about the play you're currently working on?
Craig: I'm currently working on Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks and that's starring Claire Bloom and Billy Zane. Billy is playing a guy called Michael who is a dance teacher and he goes around to teach an old lady how to dance. There's not an enormous amount of dance in it, however. It's a play that has splashes of dance peppered in it.

Steven asks: Is there a production you would love to bring to the West End?
Craig: I'd love to bring Gypsy to the West End but I hear securing the rights to that is problematic. But it's one of my favourite musicals. I love it because it has sex appeal. It also has a real heartfelt story. It's about a mother pushing her daughter, living through her daughter, and it's full of trials and tribulations.

Alison asks: What is your favourite style of dancing?
Craig: I absolutely adore tap dancing, it's great fun because you can bash out emotions and you can take your frustration out on the floor.

Ann asks: Is there a track that would get you dancing?
I love Swing, Swing, Swing. It gets me on my feet. That gets everybody dancing.

Amy asks: Will we ever get to see you dance on It Takes Two?
Craig: They've never asked me to dance. I can't imagine why. I danced a little bit on Blue Peter. I did a Jive with Louise, only for a short moment though and it was completely improvised and not rehearsed at all.

I love working on It Takes Two. I think it gives the audience the opportunity to see me as less formal in a way, to see me as me. I have the time on It Takes Two to qualify scores and the reasons why and that's always good.

Craig, tragic though this undoubtedly is, I will be buying Emma Bunton's single purely for the scene of you lounging on the bed in the video. Vastly entertaining.

Kirsty
I think we should all persuade Claudia to get you to dance - I'd love to se eyou strutting yor stuff !! I think you are harsh but fair with your comments and I'm loving the show - I agree Jill was the best :-)

Barbara
Which of the male professional dancers do you like? Go on, admit it, it's Brendan!!!

sue
Good on yer, Craig. I love your approach to your role as a judge. Reasoned, balanced, clear-sighted, mature. The dancers can only benefit from your astute judgement and experience in the long run.

Lorna
I am glad Craig mentioned Jill Halfpenny. There was a clip of her on It Takes Two last night and I do not think any of the girls in the current series stand out like she did. Mark is undoubtedly the best dancer at the moment - says quite a lot for cricket boys!

Twinkle
I think that Craig is the most consistent of the judges. One knows he is going to give an honest opinion. Also for aspiring dancers like my son (only 10), series like this or strictly dance fever reinforce the fact that dancers have to learn to take criticism-it is the only way one can improve and it is not personal. You are great Craig and continue to be true to yourself and the audience.

Jan
How about if all the judges do a dance in the special Christmas show?

Martine (Holland)
At the end of the day, Craig really gives honest albeit harsh comments. But he is never malicious and always entertaining. I respect his professional opinion, even if I sometimes go 'Boooo'at the tv-screen because of his scores!
