EXCLUSIVE Strictly dance pair strike up close friendship By Nicola Methven, Tv Editor STRICTLY Come Dancing duo Claire King and Brendan Cole are spending time in each other's arms on and OFF the dance floor. The Bad Girls actress and her dance professional were spotted kissing in a bar after enjoying dinner with a bottle of red wine. They spend four days a week training in her hometown, Harrogate. After, they share cosy evenings in pubs and restaurants. But when they are in London to film BBC1's hit Saturday show, they give the impression they do not get on. An insider said: "Everyone's talking about it. In unguarded moments, it is obvious they have become very friendly. But when they are training on Friday and Saturday, they put everyone off the scent by not speaking to each other." Strictly Come Dancing's Brendan Cole Brendan, 30, had an affair with dance partner Natasha Kaplinsky in the first series. Claire, 43, describes her relationship with actor and model John Robson, 32, as "on and off". He was furious when he was in the audience as she performed a rumba with Brendan described by the judges as "pure filth". Claire said at the time: "We had a row when he came down to watch me." Brendan was last month spotted leaving Abi Titmuss's house with a coat over his head. He insisted they are "just friends". Last night, he denied a fling with Claire. He said: "There is nothing going on." The actress's spokesman confirmed the duo had dinner this week but claimed it was purely to discuss work. Claire, who has played a string of man-eaters, insisted on Brendan being her dance partner. She said: "Bad Boy meets Bad Girl. They knew that we'd click." COLE: I'M UNABI Dancer Brendan gives her the heave-ho ABI Titmuss has been left heartbroken after being dumped by serial seducer Brendan Cole. Brendan - aka the Cha-cha Charmer after a string of flings with his dance partners - told former nurse Abi, 30, their affair is OFF as he's no longer, erm, charmed with her. Pity Brendan, 30, didn't tell glamour model Abi last month when she pulled out of her £80,000 I'm A Celebrity gig after the love-rat waltzed into her life. I'm told Abi is desperate to win Brendan back. My spy says: "Abi is devastated. She thought they had a future, but as far as Brendan's concerned Abi was just a bit of fun. He prefers classier girls for long-term partners." Deluded Abi should have got the hint when Brendan left her £1million house at 6am after their first naughty night together looking so embarrassed he hid his head under his jacket. Not that he escaped Radar! Brendan famously cheated on ex-fiancŽe Camilla Dallerup with TV co-star Natasha Kaplinsky and is now linked to Strictly Come Dancing partner Claire King. The Eighth Show Result Another couple wave goodbye to Strictly. After a performance from Girls Aloud, it was time to announce the result of your vote. First Tess and Bruce told us which dancers had definitely won through, leaving Carol and Matthew and Claire and Brendan as the two couples with the lowest overall scores. Sadly one couple had to go, and Tess announced that the pair hanging up their dancing shoes this week are... Claire and Brendan. BBC |

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ duo Brendan Cole and Claire King have made their exit from the BBC show with little grace. Despite rumours that the couple were more then good friends, Cole has denied that anything of a romantic nature has occurred between him and the ex-Emmerdale actress. After getting the boot Cole expressed his surprise that they were still in the competition saying: “We should have been out weeks ago.” EntertainmentWise |
