Emma Bunton has confirmed that she is pregnant.

The former Spice Girl joked: "I guess I will be handing over the 'Baby' tag now to a deserving little new owner."

Jade Jones, her boyfriend of eight years, joined her in a statement adding:

"We are so happy, it's unbelievable news. What a great start to the New Year.

"We're really looking forward to having a family together and to the rest of our lives."

EMMA BUNTON has shelved plans to release any more solo material.

The former Baby Spice, who's expecting her first child, made the decision jointly with Universal, says a source. Her latest album and single only just scraped into the charts.

The source added Emma, 31, is "looking on the bright side and happy to concentrate on motherhood". people
