John Sergeant, the unexpected star of Strictly Come Dancing and award-winning former BBC chief political correspondent, will be waltzing into Bristol next month to speak at St. George’s.
Sergeant, who has also appeared on programmes such as Have I Got News For You and The One Show since his retirement from political journalism in 2000, will be speaking at a South West business dinner hosted by Lee Aston, president of the West of England Society of Chartered Accountants (WESCA). The master of ceremonies at the dinner, which takes place on Thursday 21 May, will be ITV West presenter, Peter Rowell.
Local jazz singer Celestine, who has appeared on the Royal Variety Show and the Royal Albert Hall and at Bristol’s Colston Hall, will perform and she is going to talk about how The Prince’s Trust helped her get started on her career.
