Matt Baker is the 2/1 favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing, which is shaping up to be one of the closest series in the programmes history. Whilst Gavin Henson is said to be gutted at the lack of fan mail, it is a similar story in the betting with Matt Baker attracting ten times the number of bets compared to Gavin! Peter Shilton is the 15/8 favourite to get the boot, with Ann Widdecombe offered at 8/1.

Kara Favourite For First Time!

Kara Tointon has become the favourite to win Strictly at 6/5, overtaking Matt Baker who is 5/4 and Pamela Stephenson who is 7/2.

"Like the thoroughbred she is, Kara has shown immaculate timing and finds herself in front for the first time with the winning post in sight," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Matt Baker odds-on favourite for Strictly Come Dancing final

The Countryfile presenter and his professional partner Aliona Vilani will take on Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev, and Pamela Stephenson and James Jordan in the BBC One show's finale on Saturday.

The ex-Blue Peter presenter is the 8/11 favourite, while flu victim Kara can be backed at 13/8. Pamela is the 13/2 outsider in the race to win the glitterball trophy.
