THE success juggernaut which is Strictly Come Dancing waltzed into Nottingham for the first night of a 36-date tour, the first five of which were at our own Capital FM Arena. And the show is certainly not resting on its laurels with its latest tour, classily directed by TV judge Craig Revel Horwood and featuring some gentle tweaks on previous tours. First difference you notice is the arena, as usual bedecked with chandeliers and glitter balls, but this time boasting a raised stage bang in the middle of the expansive floor space. And this seemingly simple innovation instantly erased the main problem from previous live tours, namely how on earth to fill such a vast arena with ballroom dancing. ThisisNottingham |
