Woke up to black skies and bit of thunder.Rained heavily for a couple of hours and the roads were awash. Now you wouldnt know there had been a drop of rain.Warm enough for all that water to evaporate.

Very very muggy atm and a lot of moisture in the air,but grass looking noticeably lusher already

It's roasting again here and I'm about to go out for my pre season football training in my big waterproof jacket for my "Boil in the bag" diet.

Another storm took the power off in my home town this afternoon for 3 hours.

Had a little rain but nothing much.

Very humid all day. Weather station show a peak of 90% around 8am dropping to just over 50% around midday and rising again to the present level of 72%.

Went for a walk around 1 1/2 miles this evening but while there wasn't any sun it was dull and with the high Humidity it was very sticky.

It's very misty across the valley and I'm told it hasn't totally cleared all day. And although it's looked like rain all night I did do the watering earlier.

With it 30+ and very low humidty (low 20's %) it was quite tropical the other day but I guess we'll get a few more storms before it settles down again and returns to a more typical UK summer.

Showed 90%here til about 5.30.Then we had the contents of the heavens spewed upon us for an hour or so(At one stage it was drowning out the kids performance this evening!!).Dropped back to 80% now.

Humidty is better than yesterday at only 51% but it feels about the same.

We had a storm this morning and I have 6mm rain recorded.

I also have a max temp of 26C listed but as this mornings storm blipped the mains and the old PC which runs the weather station reset and I don't have the charts. This is why I must get another UPS so the old pc ,the weather station and a few other bits are protected better.

It's a fair way off yet but it looks like another heatwave is coming starting from midweek, the potential from this one is even hotter than the last.

Next weekend could see 95F in the South and the Midlands

I hope the computer models are wrong as 95F is too hot without aircon.

Was glad that in Denham this morning it was windy with low cloud as I was supposed to have a flying lesson and was very nervous!
Re-scheduled for the 23rd. So I have 2 more weeks to fret about it :-?

Been very blustery all day ,though it's currently a little over 23C.

Thought of it getting even hotter than last time makes B&Q's Air-conditioning units sound even better. Can't remember the exact price but they are around £385 with a refridgeration unit. Good for a area around 45M SQ. But you must have them installed by someone qualified in refridgeration.

At work last time with it around 32C outside it was a cool 20C inside. It came more as a shock when you had to go outside but without it would have been at least 40C. After moving into the current unit we recorded 35C with an outside temp of 27C in fact we had to move the start and end times to allow for the heat as it was almost impossible to work in.

It looks like the extreme heat will miss us now,it'll be more like high 70's which is much better.
