This week's sacking raises eyebrows

The Apprentice hopeful Alex Mills told how TV's most talked-about eyebrows were all natural after he became the latest contestant to be trimmed from the show.

Viewers have been bewitched by Mills's preened brows throughout the latest series of the BBC1 show.

And after getting fired in tonight's edition of the show, he insisted he had not styled them that way

"What people fail to grasp is that these are actually the natural shape of my eyebrows," he said.

The Welsh company director carried the can for his team Endeavour's failure in a ready-meal challenge but he blamed their disaster on colleague Myles Mordaunt's idea for serving horror-themed "Deadly Dinners", which had repulsed parents.

The Apprentice loses almost 300,000 viewers after the firing of posh boy Jason Leech

Since the firing of the floppy haired contestant - whose hilarious quips, like admitting he'd never been to Birmingham, saw him gain a legion of fans - the BBC show's viewing figures have dropped by almost 300,000.

However, although the primetime programme saw a drop in figures, it was still the most-watched show outside soaps - with 5.85 million viewers.

Lord Sugar turns his nose up at Myles Mordaunt's 'smell what sells' task

Myles Mordaunt has become the latest Apprentice contestant to be shut down as his high-end homewares shop was put out of business by his rival's bargain fashion store.

Show boss Lord Sugar fired Mordaunt after deciding he did not have the right nose for business in the "smell what sells" task - which involved sniffing out the best-selling products on a market stall, then stocking a shop unit with them the next day.

The Monaco-based marketing boss - who puts on swish Formula 1 events - was fired because his luxury take on the task was deemed out of step with the financial climate.

She has a chance to win but her past behavior might be go against her. I think Leah might win because her business plan will be more of a winner to Sir Alan

The Apprentice final pits 'business Barbie' against doctor with a dream

One claims to have the "energy of a Duracell bunny, sex appeal of Jessica Rabbit and a brain like Einstein". The other is a doctor who said the worst lie she had ever told was that she was a dress size six.

Luisa Zissman, the self-styled "business Barbie" who runs a cupcake shop in St Albans, and Dr Leah Totton, who wants to open a high street cosmetic clinic, will battle it out in Wednesday's final of BBC1's The Apprentice.
