KAT FIGHT BITCHING rivals Kristina Grimes and Katie Hopkins lay into one another tonight as The Apprentice love affair is exposed. The ambitious women are both working with project manager Paul Callaghan to sell cheese and sausages at a market in France on the BBC show As Kristina's frustration boils over she cannot help revealing to Sir Alan Sugar that Katie and Paul are mixing business with pleasure. Her beef is that Katie's cosy relationship with Paul makes it hard for the team to make themselves heard when it comes to decisions. Kristina, 36, says: "He is not open to suggestions and it is always him and Katie. It's a really badly managed task. "I'm not enjoying it because lots of mistakes are being made." But Katie, 31, says: "We have one person out to undermine Paul in every possible way. Kristina has been a complete snake in the grass. "She does have a large mouth and I look forward to the day she tries to swallow something larger than she should. It will be the end of her." Kristina tells Sir Alan: "This task was a lot about Paul and Katie making decisions the whole time. It's because they have a personal relationship. They are together outside of the tasks." Sir Alan asks: "Are you telling me they are carrying on in the house?" Kristina replies: "Yes I am. If she is on your lap and you are stroking each other and whatever else - that constitutes a relationship." Sir Alan jokes: "They certainly weren't cooking sausages if they are doing that. I employ lots of people and some of them are carrying on at work. It happens. It's not wrong but it must not affect work." An embarrassed Paul tries to play the situation down. Katie is furious and says of Kristina: "She is a snake in the grass, a pain in the a**e and is far too orange to be taken seriously." Meanwhile, on Lohit Kalburgi's team, Tre Azam and Simon Ambrose struggle with the other two women. Their friction with Naomi Lay and Jadine Johson threatens to ruin their sales of fish and tea in France. On the ferry trip over to France, Tre says: "There is so much f***ing attitude in this place. I said yesterday that the two people I didn't want to be with were Naomi and Jadine. "They are annoying to work with and f***ing disruptive. Maybe it is their time of the month." Simon says: "We have been here for six weeks and this is the first time I have had this kind of problem." The winners of both series one and two of The Apprentice quit high-paid jobs with Alan Sugar to go it alone. In 2005, London Underground employee Tim Campbell won the show. He left his £100,000-a-year job with Sugar's Amstrad after almost two years to start up his own male grooming business. Last year's winner Michelle Dewberry left Amstrad in September - just months after starting work for Sugar to start up her own consultancy firm. She had earlier taken leave after becoming pregnant, then losing a baby she was having with contestant Syed Ahmed. THE Apprentice is on BBC1 tonight at 9pm. Mark.Jefferies@Mirror.Co.Uk |
