RUSSELL Brand is in talks to appear in a Hollywood movie with Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock.

But his dreams of US stardom could be scuppered after he was banned from working there owing to his criminal record.

Brand was fined £80 for having cannabis in 1995.

He said: "I told them I haven't taken drugs for ages. I'm just hoping it will be sorted soon."

Russell Brand’s Bid For Hollywood
His sordid past may stand in his way...

Russell Brand has set his sights on Hollywood but could be denied a visa due to his drugs past.

The Daily Mirror report that brand is currently in talks to play a rock star in a forthcoming film, starring Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock.
