A THEMED Lighthouse Activity Day on Thursday will see local coastguards team up with Plymouth Library Services to educate children about sea and beach safety.

As part of the Coastguard's 'Sea Smart Storytelling initiative', launched by TV presenter Davina McCall this summer, the day will including a visit to Smeatons Tower, competitions, games and a storytelling session. Activities commence at 11am on Plymouth Hoe, next to Smeatons Tower and are repeated again at 2pm. In the event of bad weather, the event will be moved to Plymouth Central Library.
