Russell Brand To Star In New 'Rehab' TV Show

Comedian and TV presenter Russell Brand has landed a new acting role on new TV show ‘The Abbey’.
The show is to be set in a rehabilitation clinic loosely based on Pete Doherty’s second home The Priory clinic; it will feature a variety of characters dropping into the clinic for treatment for various conditions; former sex addict and smack head Brand will be playing a crack head.
A source told the Sun: “Given Russell’s colourful past, it wasn’t difficult to think of someone suitable to play that role.”
Other starring in the series include Morwenna Banks, Marti Pelow and Liz Smith.
The new show is being made by Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow and will hit the small screen early next year.
