WHEN Sally Edwards placed an advert in The Press to sell a pair of poodle puppies, she never expected a top stand-up comedian to apply.
But a message left on her mobile phone voicemail was just that - Russell Brand, asking to buy her dogs.
It was several hours before Sally figured out the whole thing was a hoax, part of Brand's comedy show when he performed in York earlier this month.
She switched her phone on some time after the gig to discover she had a missed call and a voicemail message.
