THERE have been some weird celebrity couplings already in 2006 - but the best has definitely been saved until last.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any stranger than CHEEKY GIRL GABRIELA IRIMIA and Liberal Democrat MP LEMBIT OPIK, along come a new even more bizarre pairing.
It seems that my
Shagger Of The Year RUSSELL BRAND has a new celebrity conquest in his sites -
VANESSA FELTZ.
Russell recently declared his passion for the TV host, saying she made him feel "dirty and perverted".
And now the lothario is moving things on - by bombarding Vanessa with raunchy phone messages.
She told the Jewish Chronicle: "Russell sends me a series of very suggestive text messages.
"I absolutely adore him.
"I can't claim to be the first to have discovered Russell, but I was on one of his shows about three or four years ago and I thought this guy's a genius. Extraordinary, mercurial, Renaissance man.
"I've been a great fan and friend - and the recipient of many titillating text messages from him which I thoroughly enjoy receiving.
"Long may they continue!"
