RUSSELL Brand has found a spiritual way to control his bed-hopping — devoting himself to Hare Krishna.

The randy telly host attends the same temple where late Beatle George Harrison sought enlightenment.

Brand — recently caught smuggling a pair of brunettes into a Travel Inn — first took up the sect during his battle with hard drugs.

The comic, 31, attends Bhaktivedanta Manor in Watford, Herts, where he is popular with devotees.

One said: “Russell visits regularly. He has a very deep spiritual side, has read many Krishna texts and talks to us a lot.”

Brand, who hosts next month’s Brits, ditched heroin several years ago. His pal said: “He did it with the help of our devotees. He feels indebted.”

Brand, who has bedded Kate Moss and Sadie Frost, jokes about Krishna in his stand-up routines.

Followers believe the Hare Krishna mantra brings a higher state of consciousness when heard, spoken, meditated upon or sung.

Last night Brand said: “Hare Krishna devotees taught me reality is an illusion and that we ought to be bold when it comes to haircuts. Look at them, they look great.”
