Tens of thousands of pounds in funding to help young people in some of the country's most deprived areas has been announced.

The awards, worth between £250 and £5,000, will be distributed by the Prince's Trust towards creating community projects in some of Scotland's poorest areas.

Launching the 18-month programme, TV presenter Davina McCall said: "Young people want the responsibility to be part of something.
