In a way I hope they do ban smoking the house. I work in the NHS and our hospital is about to ban smoking anywhere in the grounds, including your own car!
I am a smoker, if I want one I'll have to go out of the grounds and make sure my badge is covered up, so there isn't a public image of staff smoking on the main road!
I can't see how our lot will control it, patients will not take any notice. There was one story recently about a patient who had been treated with some oily lotion who sneaked out for a ciggy and set himself alight - true story, was in Doncaster I think, and he died! Now that's extreme.
If the BB people do take away the smokes then I can see an outcry from the HM's affected, it's probably illegal in some way.
Maybe it will stop me nipping out for a ciggy at every ad break in BB! Without seeing someone smoking it may not have an effect on me. I don't smoke in the house, other people live here and they don't smoke so I go out if I have one.
Anyway, I hope the new BB is better than the recent ones. I was bored last year. Short tasks, no action, too many arguments. If, as reported, BB is getting tougher to incite arguments then I'll probably turn it off. I see enough at work thank you very much.
Maybe I should get a big ward sister down to the house and adminster a few forced enemas?
