I dated Big Brother's posh totty

HE tore up photographs of her when they broke up, but a city ice hockey star was shocked when his former girlfriend turned up on Big Brother.

James Morgan, a hard man on the ice with Peterborough Phantoms, was astonished when he saw Grace Scott-Adams waltz onto the set of the controversial reality TV show.

He could hardly believe that this was the girl who had melted his heart, yet there she was in the most outrageous house in the country with other contestants already dubbed "oddballs and show-offs".

James (24), who is regarded as one of the best and toughest British ice hockey defenders,, dated dance teacher Grace, who is already being called the show's "posh totty", after they met in a London nightclub.

Grace (20) and James enjoyed a whirlwind two-month romance, but it fizzled out in January, when he let the fair-haired ballet teacher down gently because he had not got over the break-up of a long-term relationship with another girl.

Today James said: "I still speak to Grace quite a bit. I was just thinking of texting her and then my friend said, 'You will never guess who is on Big Brother.'

"I didn't know she was going to be on it, so it was a bit of a surprise. But I know what she is like so I just laughed when I saw her.

"I am not a big fan of the programme, but now she is on, I will watch to see how she does."

While busty blonde contestant Lea Walker and cross-dressing rocker Pete Stephenson, who suffers from Tourette's Syndrome, are already sparking controversy, Market Deeping man James reckons gorgeous "down-to-earth" Grace could stick in the audience's minds.

He said: "She has a lot more talent than some of the past housemates. I don't know how she will come across on the show, it depends on what the audience wants to see.

"With previous Big Brothers, anyone who is a fruit loop or takes all their clothes off becomes talked about. But Grace isn't like that. I know she will keep her private life to herself."

He revealed that Grace is no stranger to Peterborough and came to the city to meet James' parents, and watched him play for Phantoms at Planet Ice in Bretton.

The millions already hooked on the seventh series of the headline-grabbing show, do not realise it yet, but James said BB could propel her to singing stardom.

He said the fitness fanatic,s who teaches dance-mad tots, has also dabbled in modelling and fashion buying, but her big dream is to have a hit with her pals in a girl band.

While his former girlfriend vies for stardom, James is already a winner – he's just signed a new contract to play for Phantoms.

Channel 4 was facing criticism last night over its decision to include a victim of Tourette Syndrome in the new series of Big Brother.

The Tourette Syndrome Association said it was swamped with complaints from parents and care workers concerned that the reality TV show might lead to those with the condition - particularly children - being mocked and bullied.

FORMER HOUSEMATE BLASTS BIG BROTHER 7 RIVALS AND EX-BB GIRL JADE SHOULD KNOW

By Lachlan Mackinnon
DailyRecord

DIPPY Big Brother millionaire Jade Goody has branded this year's contestants "a weird bunch".

The former dental nurse dismissed the latest hopefuls as "fame hungry".

She labelled Tourette's sufferer Pete a "freak".

And Jade, who stripped off live on TV during a drinking game, advised the female contestants not to flash the flesh.

She said: "If I had any advice, I would say do not get your kit off if you have got a couple of bellies because you will never live it down."

Jade's attention-seeking exploits on Big Brother earned her more than £2million and made her a household name.

Yesterday, with no sense of irony, she said of the BB7 crew: "What a weird bunch of contestants.

"They are all just crying out for fame. When I was on the show it had normal people with a bit about them."

She added: "People who are going in there now are just hungry for fame and just acting up for TV. They are not real because they just want to play the game.

"It is hard to say which is the weirdest but the guy with Tourette's kept me watching because it made me laugh.

"I wish I had a best mate with Tourette's. I was watching the live show and he just kept swearing and twitching all over the place.

"Bonnie, the first girl who went in, was so annoying. I think she may be the first to be kicked off - or Nikki because she is just a wannabe footballer's wife."

Before starring in the show four years ago, Jade had been evicted over unpaid rent and was facing jail over outstanding council tax.

During her troubled childhood she once bit off a girl's earlobe and has admitted shoplifting and smoking dope.

Her dad was an ex-pimp, thief and heroin addict, while her mum worked as a prostitute then became a lesbian.

Mum-of-two Jade only came fourth in Big Brother 3 but now rakes in a fortune from newspaper columns, personal appearances and fitness videos.

She lives in a £500,000 three-bedroom house in Essex and drives a £48,000 BMW X5.

Now on a nationwide tour promoting her autobiography, she insisted she didn't enter Big Brother to become famous.

She said: "I thought I would go back to being a dental nurse. I wasn't hungry for fame like these girls.

"I never thought I would get famous from it and treated it like a holiday camp to get away from my mum and my boyfriend."

A record number of viewers - 8.1million - tuned into the launch of Big Brother 7.

It was an increase of half a million on last year's launch.

Channel 4's Angela Jain said: "This heralds the most fantastic kick-start to Big Brother yet.

"We remain as committed as ever to making this year's Big Brother as entertaining as the rest."

Tensions are already running high in the Big Brother house, thanks largely to Big Brother's mischievousness.
If the housemates thought they were in for an easy ride, they were wrong, with the housemates not getting their suitcases and then two of them being given special status, causing friction.

Lisa and Shahbaz became the founder members of the Big Brotherhood ' meaning they could get their clothes' were immune from eviction in the first round of voting and got to choose a third member of the Brotherhood.

But their discussion in the diary room yesterday caused upset when, unbeknown to them, it was broadcast to the other housemates outside.

Mancunian Lisa said to Shahbaz: 'I like everyone, except Sezer and Bonnie, which led to Bonnie crying on Lea's shoulder.

Peace was restored once Lisa reassured her housemates that they were 'all nice people'.

A record 8.1 million viewers tuned in for the Channel 4 show's launch on Thursday night, a million more than at the same stage last year.

The oddball housemates include a singer with Tourette's and a woman who claims to have Britain's biggest breast implants.

Earlier on day two the housemates gave each other 'sensuous' massages, getting things steamy in the house early on.

Self-confessed womaniser Mikey and former Miss Wales Imogen were among those enthusiastically taking part in the exercise, providing encouragement for fans hoping to see romance bloom.

A frenzied bidding war also developed in the real world yesterday after a Big Brother "golden ticket" was apparently put up for auction on eBay.

The mystery vendor , identified only as laffytaffy292 , claims to have struck gold shortly after 100 KitKats stuffed with tickets hit shops at 10.30pm on Thursday.

In two weeks time producers will pick one of the ticketholders at random to join the contestants.

The lot, which had attracted dubious bids of more than £10 million, was later withdrawn by eBay because the seller had breached terms of our User agreement.

However, a spokeswoman said the problem was a technicality and they would be allowed to put the ticket up for sale again.

At least one golden ticket has been claimed so far.

A Big Brother spokeswoman said: "One ticket was claimed yesterday. It was from a four-finger KitKat bought at a central London branch of Sainbury's."

Bookmakers William Hill named 20-year-old 'Sloane Ranger' Grace as their early 5/1 favourite to win the series, offering 11/2 for Imogen and the golden ticketholder as the 6/1 third favourite.
