Well, for me, that applied to BB4.

Once Tickle had gone, I didn't want any of them to win. And I am not really a fan of him.

BB4, again for me, was a disaster. The worst of all BBs by a considerable margin.

It ST-UNK, as Nikki might say.

For me, it was BB6 where I didn't want any of them to win (at least until Kinga and Eugene went in). I hated the fact that Anthony won by default (or through 14 year old girls voting for him to win because 'he's fit', take your pick).

I wouldn't begrudge Pete ending up £100,000 better off... I'm not sure I can say that about any of the others apart from Richard.

I wouldn't use the term crisis, but it's defo a bit iffy at the moment

other series have had walkouts before, but at least there were load of other characters that were popular. BB3 started the "I can't stand it" trend, but at least there was still Alex, Jade, Jonny, Kate, Spencer, Tim and Adele to polarise opinions (good or bad)

You couldn't predict Kate would win BB3 after a week and half, at the moment it just seems like a cake walk for Pete

I was a big fan of BB4, ok it had some dullness and that criticism was justified, but there is a limit to how entertaining most people can be cooped up in a house 24/7.The thing I liked about it the most is that on the whole the peeps were likeable unlike the peeps in BB5 and BB6

BB2 seemed to have it all tho and imo will go down as the best ever BB...Brian was one of those lucky people that could be fun with virtually no input from anyone else.

The juries out on BB7 for me but it's the first one I've found watchable since BB4 and Pete has the potential to be as good as Brian was. It's in the bag for him unless something drastically goes wrong.

And me liking him has nothing to do with sympathy for his Tourettes, he is a genuinely decent and funny guy who happens to have Tourettes thats all.

The thing I like about Pete is that he is a genuinly nice bloke without a smug superior way about him. He doesn't take sides and steers clear of polotics as well as challenging Grace over their contempt of the new housemates. I think as Westy said he will walk the winning position unless something goes massivly wrong. I am enjoying this BB. I actually WANT to see someone win this year as opposed to recently it bein a case of may the least worst person win :-?

I like Pete...but i wonder if Lisa will affect his chances of winning if she carries on with her bunny boiler antics?

Didn't negatively affect Anthony with Cryaig, quite the opposite.

Viewers pour scorn on show
By Alexa Baracaia, Evening Standard
31 May 2006

Big Brother fans were today asking whether the show was on its last legs after the third housemate in a week walked out.

Old Harrovian George Askew, 19, quit yesterday, saying: "I would like to continue my private life. The fame is too much."

Last week Shabhaz Chauhdry, 37, left following fears for his mental health. Hours later Dawn Blake was ejected after vowing to quit and denouncing the show as a "pantomime".

It is the biggest exodus since the series began six years ago.

Messages on fan sites blamed producer Endemol and Channel 4 for picking vulnerable housemates. One entry said: "The format is exhausted."

I totally agree with Alan's points. When i watched back at some of the BB4 highlight shows, I thought to myself, jaysus that was so boring....but to tell the truth they picked the wrong story lines sometimes which turned out...well boring.
I agree with you CC though, if we were giving stuff to do during the day like BB5-BB7 it would have been alot more interesting to watch.

Regarding this year, I think it's lost it's momentum. It has been too much too soon. We haven't seen any characters develop as they're all leaving.
Every housemate is picked for a reason but now with h/ms leaving, it's thrown a spanner in the works. I think Endemol should leave things be for a while and try not to influence too much like they have done in the last few series.

Well Alan, trust me, this one is going down that path. I've been an avid fan since day 1 and with BB5 & BB6 I watched nearly every episode but this year I've seen 3 episodes so that says how entertaining it has been IMO.

You might still get to change your mind after BB7, i wonder if finally this will take the crown as the worst and the ghost of BB4 can finally rest in peace

As has already been said they need things to do .Tasks and Mini Tasks.
They have asked BB on a number of occasions if they could have a task as they appear bored.

If I'm interested in a BB series I don't watch the Highlights until afterwards as I prefer to make my own mind up based on the live Feeds as they have too much control with the highlights and do show people in a totally different way to how you see them on the feed. And they do on occasion change the sequence of events to influence opinions.

It's a shame we are limited to just one feed as again they have more control on what we see.
With BB4 I had both feeds running side by side and we could follow HMs .If one left a group and went in the house you could either follow them into the house to see what was said about the group they had just left or you could continue with the group in case something was said about the person who had left it.

It's a pity there isn't an uncensored feed like there was on satellite from 'The Space Cadets'. It was great not getting strange noises every few minutes.

One thing they do blank out is music as they can't be bothered to pay the royalties to broadcast it. A lot of the sound cuts has nothing to do with legal matters but just them wanting to use sections for highlights ,but they cut far more than they use.

I'm still following the show which is the first time since BB4 as I couldn't get on with 5 and 6. The only drawback is that the OZ show is going to have to wait until after BB7 either finishes or becomes unwatchable.

The housemates are way too knowing of how to behave this year.
