The Great Divide

The split between former bezzie mates Richard and Lea has widened deeper than Rift Valley over the past week. So tonight the pair had a go at bridging the divide.


Richard took his former buddy aside and asked her what was wrong. "I'm f***ed off with the way the house is changing," she replied, adding: "You've changed and I don't know why."

Richard responded that it wasn't him that had changed, rather a wave of paranoia had flooded the House and Lea had got swept up in it. "I think the environment has changed in here and I think you're like the girls, you're suspicious," he told her. "I was your biggest defender.


Although Richard tried to get to the bottom of their rift, Lea wasn't having any of it. Turning the conversation to the other housemates' bitching, Lea said that she felt stuck in the middle because she felt sorry for Susie, but that she also loves Nikki, Grace and Lisa. Hang on, Lea, we thought this chat was meant to be about you and Dickie?

"Everyone's getting agitated in this House," said Richard. "Those girls are like little atom bombs about to explode. When this kicks off..."

"...I'm walking away," interrupted Lea. "And I'm taking Pete with me." Wonder what Pete'll have to say about that?

After another 10 minutes of skirting the issue the pair ended their conversation, the divide between them still gaping. Will they ever be buddies again?

I don't think there will ever be one group, because the HM's don't like the same things

the 'Plastics' want to have fun, but their type of fun grates on the 'elder' HM's

I genuinely don't see things changing with Grace's eviction, one by one Grace's group will be picked off (Lisa,Nikki and Imogen are probably next)

then Mikey and Lea are next for the chopping block

the thing that annoys me is that BOTH groups feel as though their position is correct, Grace is behaving more childish as the week goes on (and she could have a truly horrible reception from crowd - think BB6 Sam the Nth degree). Yet equally I think Richard and to a lesser degree Aisleyene's distain for Grace, Nikki, Imogen & Lisa is grating

I think a final 4/5 of one group would be boring, as the mutual lovefest would drive me up the wall. For the sake of interesting dynamics some of the Plastics have to make it the final week (I just have my doubts this will happen)
