I too have noticed that there are far fewer postings this year and have mentioned it on another thread. After such dreadful hms last year, the bitching and back stabbing by the ghastly Makosi and group. I really had no interest this year to watch. However have persevered for a couple of weeks and its just the same and getting even more boring, The tasks have been dire and there doesnt seem that anything is going to liven it up.

I agree about the tasks, they are cheap and totally unimaginative, and they pay someone they call the task master.

Next week we will probably have pass the parcel with the prize being a message from the family, or who can stand longest on 1 leg, or how much do you know about your HM's quiz.

The tasks cost pennys (thats the expensive ones) or nothing as its just HM standing on 1 leg or answering questions.

All the non UK BB I have seen they spend some money on the tasks and make them exciting. If they had exciting or challaging tasks it would be something to watch, but people stading on boxes or sitting in boxes is not entertainment, watching kids on the street playing skipping or hop scotch is a lot more entertaining and can hardly be called imaginative to.

Its so boring in there they even get excited when they get a laminate telling them there is a water shortage for crying out loud.

Fire the task master he/she is crap

I dont know if the posts are less this year than previous years, coz I only arrived late last year, but I do want to say that you guys ROCK when welcoming newbies to the forum.

As for this series, well its longer isnt it, so things are going to be a lot more drawn out than normal, and despite BB's best efforts, they have picked a bunch of housemates who for the most part have little to offer in terms of depth. In my past more recent experience of viewing, the housemates have on the whole had a spell of "wannabee-itis" when first getting into the house and getting used to the cameras following their every move, but for the most part after a couple of weeks have settled down and allowed their real personalities to come to the fore, and in many cases (not all) have proved themselves to be relatively complex creatures with more to offer than simply cartoon antics. This series they are few and far between.

The wannabeeism has continued apace, and if it does fall down, then you find mostly insecure housemates who have little to offer other than devious game playing, which is fun to watch if its just a couple of them doing it, but when everyone is doing it to everyone else can just prove to be tiresome viewing.

That said, I do think Glyn will evolve through the series and mature to a point where he could challenge Pete for the crown. Having a surefire winner from the start is just going to make people less keen to watch and get involved. He is more enthusiastic about each task and daily activity than everyone else put together. Its almost as though they are just waiting to get out and "make some real money".

Isn't it because a lot of the posters who used to post here post on the blue room?

I like it there, but here too!

The blue room is Digital Spy............I think.

Its hard to get involved in discussions with the hardcore community of message forums unless you stick at it. You'll quickly discover that most boards are friendly and welcoming.

The Blue Room isn't digital spy CC. It is another forum where they discuss various reality TV shows and general chit chat. It was started by a few ex-members of this site.

I know it's like calling the kettle black but I think this year's BB is boring as hell. There are a couple of inspiring moments but I think it's been a poor showing so far and I can't see it changing much.
Also 13 weeks is way too long

I think that part of the excitement has been taken away, because there seems to be an outright winner from the start. Most years, it's difficult to tell from the start who will win and last year, we couldn't be sure right until the end who would win.

Agree with you Christine. Pete has been chosen from day one as the BB7 winner so why should anyone waste 13 weeks of their lifes watching him and the losers sunbathe....... :-?

I kind of agree with Ray - it's boring in the sense that all the housemates seem to do is bitch on an Olympic scale. Having said that, sorry Ray but this series is nowhere near as boring as BB4 (yourself excluded however!! I love your Avatar!!)

With regards to not as many posts as previous years, I know I haven't posted as much simply due to the fact that I'm currently having to use my mum and dad's computer as I've been living with them since I got back from NZ. Plus, I'm in the middle of rennovating a house so, even though I'd rather watch BB and post on here, I'm afraid I'm up to my eyes in wallpaper, glue, cement and paint.....god, I wish Llewellyn-Bowen would turn up and make my day!!!

I still love reading all the comments when I get a chance to get on the forum.

Well... I've had plenty of time to watch BB this year, as my computer has been out of action for a few weeks. I am liking it, and I think that although Pete was the outright fave at the start, he may get some competition from Glynn before long.

If Grace goes this week, it'll be interesting to see if the others lay off the bitching a bit, out of self-preservation. Imogen has already sussed that it's a good idea to hang back from the worst of the behaviour.

I've not watched hardly any BB this year I went on holiday on the day after it started and got home on the 4th of June so I missed a huge chunk of getting to know the HM's, also since we've been home we've made a concious decision to not watch as much tv as we have been.

I've watched 2 nightly episodes and altogether about 3 hours of E4 stuff, I also watched Sam's eviction.

Hence I've not been here much as I cannot contribute to anything as I can't even remember most of the HM's names!
