Speaking of exits. The great thing about this year's Big Brother is that the show has lost characters (Alex, Dennis, Sylvia, Mario, Luke) but still went from strength to strength.
Further proof of what a great series it is.
Excellent observation Alan.
A long forgotten rule of Big Brother used to be that 'no HM is greater than the show'... then probably around BB3 they happily abandoned it once they realised how much publicity their 'characters' were generating. But at last BB seems to have renewed that very important rule and allowed the show to be the star once again (although I'm worried they are slipping back to their old habits).
Last year, Charley was a great character but for all the wrong reasons... BB's mistake was trying to hang on to her for too long. Once you do that, you disenfrancise the viewer and the goodwill disappears like a puff of smoke.
This year I'm happy for any of the HMs to win the show (except Dale), they might not all be my favourites but each has contributed to a shared experience that includes the viewer.
