WHEN THE racist behaviour of Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara was broadcast, Britain held its head down in shame because their antics on Celebrity Big Brother reflected what many argueD the views of racist Britain.
Big Brother (BB) executives were severely criticized for their housemate decision-making; such obnoxious characters saw and audiences fall and ratings dropped drastically.
The nation - especially the black community - was no longer turned on by the BB, which was further mirrored by the lack of interest when they did BB 2007 despite Brian Belo being the first black person to win the reality TV show.
So when BB promised to be bigger and better then ever before this year the black community held its breath to see what type of characters Alexandra, Sylvia, Mohamed and Darnell would turn out to be.
