KILWINNING Big Brother contestant Mikey Hughes is hoping his popularity will continue in 2009.
The 33-year-old blind radio presenter has combined his work as a DJ for Insight Radio with making money from public appearances.
And on Friday night Mikey opened Scotland’s biggest carnival at the SECC in Glasgow along with X Factor contestants, High Voltage.
And he was caught in another rush as over 300 fans asked Mikey to sign body parts at the carnival.
Mikey, who plans to return to university to study for a PhD in October, has been busy attending dinners and events as people want to hear all about his time in the Big Brother house.
The carnival is on until January 11.
