Try as we might, we cannot escape the fact that the nation has developed an addiction to reality television shows.

We have an almost morbid fascination with the innards of other people’s lives, which is made all the more convenient to indulge as the television industry continues to turn out swathes of programmes falling under the umbrella of ‘reality.

There can be no doubt, however, that the show which spawned this very genre is the mighty Big Brother. This twisted Orwellian monster, the Daddy of reality TV, captured the public imagination like nothing else before it, but the nation soon grew hungry for something more...and so Big Brother died a slow death, and latest incarnation of the reality sensation was born: Seven Days.

As Westside Radio like to make sure that our listeners are always up to date with the most current of current affairs, we were delighted that Amit was able to welcome the stars of both these pioneering shows, father and son Robert and Rex Newmark. Rex starred in BB9 and his father is one of the stars of Seven Days.
