Yeah, and got so fired up about it that he missed the chance to slag off his other enemies like Mo or Darnell. Excellent, good work Luke.

If Luke was still in, he'd be taking HMs to one side and going 'do you think she's watched the show?' {@}
Dale desperate to know how he's perceived on the outside.

Not as much as Rex was...

Firstly he seemed not to recognise her (going to replay that to confirm).

Second, his immediate reaction wasn't.... Mmmm lets say, positive.

Very amusing second show. Luke certainly had a lot to say, I'll give him that much.

But how interesting, the reaction to Nicole turning up. :x :x :x

Yes I noticed that he didn't seem to recognise her - very strange!

Nevermind Luke... you do realise they've just handed Rex a massive huge advantage?

And I can tell you its deliberate too but not for Rex's benefit as much as it is for Dale's. Explain more later.

Other than a few screaming skulls her arrival seemed to go very flat and Rex did not seem over excited about her presence :-?

Get Rex out next week seems to be the call on the 'Other Side'

Rex's chances of winning this show have now gone.
Much as people like a developing romance, couples are anathema to the show. They sap it of any energy.
He was one of the most interesting characters in there and his relationship with Rachel was one with potential.Hes not happy to see his gf.Despite all his protestations to the contrary,he wanted to win, and thats less than likely now.

Just did a replay (and the nerd that I am it was at quarter speed)...

The moment Darnell opened the Store Room door, Nicole (is that her name?) immediately raised a finger up to her mouth as if to say Shussshhh. Not sure what that's about but seems odd?

Next we see Rex and Mohamed stood together across the other side of the living room. Mohamed's face is clearly one of absolute surprise. Rex's meanwhile is locked in that half smiling expression he does when he's trying not to give anything away. At that point he's seeing just an new HM.

Just as Nicole reaches the divide fence and he finally recognises her, his face doesn't brighten... it actually drops for a moment!

Granted, its a shock for him, it would be for anyone... but suspicous that his mind was working before his emotions were.

Yes I noticed that he didn't seem to recognise her - very strange!

Now, I've not exactly been a fan of Rex, but a few theories from me on this:

Yes, it seemed to take him a few moments to recognise Nicole. Odd, in a way, BUT - it's been over 2 months since he's seen her, and she may have changed her hairstyle etc. Sometimes when even a loved one returns from a holiday, they can look quite transformed.

Yes, it struck me that he didn't seem 100% over the moon, to discover Nicole was a housemate. But perhaps he feels protective of her, and dreads to think of nominations, booing crowds, etc.

Also, perhaps he's a little horrified at the possible 'Posh n' Becks' scenario - perhaps he wanted to keep a bit of his (admittedly not so private) life separate from the BB circus.

Stressful situation for him, anyway. But Cheekiechickie did suggest, on another thread, that Rex would act quite differently, if his g/f came into the house. That's a possibility - but rather ironic, given the way he seems so concerned about HM's 'not being themselves'.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Rex was never going to win anyway, even though his odds now are as low as they've ever been (4/1). Mikey's on 4/1 as well actually, he's sneaked up. Might put a fiver on Dale at 10/1 just to make sure he doesn't win, I have that effect ;)
