I'm thinking of going to the Dublin auditions...just to interview some of the hopefuls for my "Ray makes your Day" slot on the radio. Still haven't decided whether it's a good idea to turn up or not...what do you lot think??

I think it is a great idea Ray. Who better to interview the hopefuls then a person who went through the procedure and became one of the favourite ex BB housemates. ()^

I think BB will have to be better than last year, to prove they deserve BB7 and they can keep going with the format.

I think more people would of wanted to go in the after the first couple or so, but now it's kind of going downhill I feel, this CBB proved that to me.

So you was thought of as a steward? haha come on admit it, you knew that would get the totty chatting to you,that was your cunning plan all along

Well I have to say that it hadn't crossed my mind at all. I was more concerned about walking from New St. station to the point in what ,apart from the badges ,could have been mistaken for Police uniform. But as nothing was current issue I wasn't too bothered. The new jacket on the other hand is still current issue which is why I don't want to walk the mile or two wearing it. West Midlands had a chuckle in the station at last years but I don't want to push my luck.
And to answer the next question ,I collect Police stuff hence why I have it to hand.

On a serious note, I admire your bottle for going to the auditions and wanting to do BB, why do you want to go into the house?

The video auditions don't play on your nerves as much as the open ones. I did get an invite to the 2003 auditions following send a video in so last year wasn't my first one.
But your question is that I get every year from my family.
For me it's really is for the experience. Before I started any auditions I was at best a shy person that didn't like crowds ,certainly wouldn't strike up a conversation with strangers. Definitely wouldn't have dreamt of long train journeys on my own. But I'm the school geek / nerd that never grew up and as a result haven't shared my life with anybody and as you might guess am single with limited social skills.
But as a result of auditions am much more confident ,will do long train / car journeys alone ,will spend ages chatting to total strangers.
But as I well know things could go very well or the complete opposite but then that can happen in normal life.
I don't know if it's brave or stupidity but the goal is to have a great day and maybe get one stage further than last time.
I don't mind dressing up as you can see but I have to consider personal safety. Name calling is like water off a ducks back but that is a whole different story which I'm not going into.

Wow! I'm amazed. I thought BB6 was brilliant. All the way to the end. Great contestants, great drama: intritgue, pettiness, arguments, bitching, scheming, laughter, sexual idiocy, phantom pregnancies, bunny boiling, food fights, scab gates, great tasks, great diary room chats.

I also thought BB5 was the best BB ever. Better than even BB3, which was excellent. And BB6, probably third best overall.

So I think the format is so strong that BB7 is bound to be a success. The only poor year was BB4. But they've learnt the lesson from that.

Again, I am surprised to hear anyone say this.

This year's CBB was fantastic.

Maybe it's just that I usually just watch the highlights each night and don't bother watching it 'Live'. Apart from the magnificent NominateGate Night which came at roughly the half-way point.

Am not sure I agree.They have to keep changing the format or else every year it will just (erm..no has become) a 'let's outgross the previous year'....and there will come a point pretty soon where the audience the show attracts will start to(if it hasn't already) diminish.I watch the show with teens...and they were gripped by the last CBB(interestingly,Pete was by far and away their fave!),but really disliked BB6.If this is the demograph of the future BB want to appeal to,they will need to change tactics

I think this is the crux mate, its become to miserablist to watch live anymore, which is why many die-hards are going off it. A bit of friction is good, but if you get it 95% of the time its tiring, like Alex,Sandy and Adele in BB3, great to watch the results, dire to watch a 24 hour-a-day whingefest. Makosi, Vanessa, kemal were similar. As was Denis, george and Pete.

I'm gonna be quite releived they're gonna stop live-streaming, I can now just watch what they edit up for me, and enjoy it as you do {@} {@}

Think it goes out of contract after this one, dunno if they'll renew or not.

I personally feel it needs resting for a year or two.

As far as I can see, the format hasn't really changed. New tasks and rules aside, it's the same old wonderful crap we had in BB1. I still say the format is strong enough to survive whoever you put in. Although they have upped the 'characters' intake.

But these 'characters' are only masks that people have put on at auditions to get into the house. Once inside, the mask slips (they can't perform the role 24/7, example: Kemal). Once they stop acting the character, their true personality comes out, and theny you have the same old, wonderful Big Brother mix.

And kids are fickle fools though. They cannot appreciate the human interaction the same way adults can. I am tired of the constant playing to the 'yoof' audience on Channel 4. They are being fed dull programs made by idiots in their thirties who have a false memory of what it was like to be young. Young people shouldn't even be at home at night watching TV. They should be out burning cars, happy slapping, selling drugs or whatever it is they do nowadays. (Kidding)

I hope BB continues to appeal to the older, more discerning viewer.

One who likes to see a bunch of immature idiots stuck in a house hating and hitting each other!
::lol::

Not having a go Westy, as indeed many share your opinion.

Please don't take this the wrong way, this is said very tongue in cheek: But why doesn't everyone who thinks BB needs a rest for a year or two, STOP WATCHING IT THEN! ;)

But come the Summer, you will ALL start watching (and secretly) loving it again!

Why don't you all just P!SS OFF and leave me and Blags to enjoy it on our own!! :D

If I could have got the camera out of my bag quick enough last year they'd have loved the Barbie that turned up in hotpants and cropped top. Don't think any rag or glossy got a picture but she was mentioned in at least one and on here.
