It's o.k....to be honest, I'm surprised that anyone has a good word to say about Davina. Cameron likes her, though, from what I can remember, and he's got good taste.

I suppose in some ways, I share Davina's opinions of housemates. I think she does watch the show, actually.

This is what she said about Pete Burns attacking Traci, in Celeb BB (even though she and Pete have been friends, in the past)...

Derek...yes, the Tory chappie...didn't much like him...but I think he did make an impact on BB...

John? Would that be the Tickle person?(sorry if it's someone more recent, my brain is fading, fast) Jon Tickle.....well, he was popular with his fans, no doubt about it. I liked him, until he started believing his fan-machine publicity...and eventually, I got to like him again.

I started this thread to say I'm glad Davina's doing BB. Didn't know if anyone would agree with me.

I'm sorry if you think I'm falling back 'on the excuse' of being an eejit. I had no interest in starting yet another debate about Jade. A while back I did a post saying that you'd probably been right about Jade all along, in some ways.

When I said I'm an eejit, I meant that I still believe most people are 'o.k.' really, and therefore it's possible that I'm fooled, sometimes. I find it hard to really dislike most housemates, with just a couple of exceptions.

I still agree with Davina's assessment of both that Jade on the couch incident and Pete Burns' attack on Traci. I'm not saying I'm right and others are wrong. It's just my opinion, and if I share Davina's opinion, then that naturally makes me warm to her.

That doesn't mean I don't like people whose opinion is completely different to mine - 'life's too short to stuff a mushroom', etc.

I'm sorry GG, but that moment was all about Jades thirst for attention at all costs, just like the Marathon, and everything else shes done. Her getting sympathy from it has just helped cause this horrific celebrity of her. Which does the girl no good whatsoever, because no matter what she does, someone will blame others. So she'll carry on in her utterly self-destructive way

So, if thats a rerason you like Davina, it makes me dislike her even more, but I'll desist from this thread now, its an "appreciation thread" after all, and I have zero appreciation of her

I like Davina because because she does a good job on the friday night evictions - & yes, she is limited in terms of her overall appeal.

Of course Davina was part of the 'trick' constructed by Endemol to save Jade.

On the night Adele was evicted for being a sad fruitcake, the crowd shouted, 'get Jade out!'
Four days later, Jade took all her clothes off, willingly, in a silly game, & the Endemol game to save Jade really kicked in.

Yes, Davina was compliant, but Dermot was the most obedient..

Rincewind - I insist that you don't desist. I do enough talking to myself as it is....glad of a reply, even one that increases my blood pressure.

On to other matters - best not get me started on Fed - a complicated individual, but I've still got a soft spot for him (and no, it's not in the Bog of Allen).

Anyway, let's hope Davina's hair and clothes provide us with some talking points, in the weeks ahead.
