My choice would certainly be either Brian or 'the twins' .

Brian:

Pros: genuinely funny at times & considerate to all those around him. He doesn't like to see anybody upset - a brilliant virtue. He also gave Charley a chance but destroyed her when she pushed things too far, hence with hands brushing his chin, 'beardy, beardy' - well done Bri!

Cons: more than a suggestion that he dumbs it down sometimes, especially in the diary room - & the ignorance of 'Shakespeare' appeared to go a step too far - I don't care what the result of the lie detector was.
He is a BB addict, has been doing some kind of media studies at college - but probably deserves some kind of benefit of the doubt - ie his goofy & ill-educated way at looking at things may be part of his true persona - though I do think he's streetwise.

Sam & Amanda:

Pros: in a sense, worthy winners because their approach has been to enjoy the experience, get on with everybody, have fun, help out, be there for anybody who needed a shoulder to cry on. They have social intelligence & could teach many a housemate, past & present, about what being a strong character really is.
Apart from Carole, they have not clashed with anybody - & neither has any housemate wanted to criticise them because they knew to do so wouldn't go down well with the viewers.

Cons: they have been likeable but periphery housemates throughout, never in the centre of things.
In all probability neither twin would win if they weren't together - something the producers realised early on, & 'fixed' later - to which good old Dermot pleaded ignorance.

I also agree with guy from The Independent on the shrink show who said they had 'passive goodness' - ie they would be nice to abysmal Charley & decent Chanelle, because they are essentially fence-sitters who don't have the authority(yet) to comment on any conflict.

Twins and Brian are tied...


Big Brother is drawing to an end, but that is not the only thing drawing! It seems that picking a winner is a tough call with the twins Amanda and Sam Marchant and Brian Belo being pretty much neck and neck in the polls.

Bookies have put Brian’s odds at 7-2 although the girls are marginally ahead as favourites with their odds being 1-6.

A TV insider told the Daily Star: “It sounds unthinkable but it is almost shaping up to be a dead heat.

"There have been some amazing twists over the last eight years but a draw would beat the lot.”

So if they tied, would the prize-money be split three ways or two? We’ll find out on Friday!

Add to that, I think the twins would be the only ones of the remaining group who would be genuinely happy for Jonty if he were to win - I don't think the same of Jonty if the situation were reversed though.

So, it's he twins to win with Brian in second place, for me.

The twins are now the most popular Big Brother housemates in the history of the show, according to Ladbrokes.

Samanda have attracted more than £5 million of bets industry-wide, beating the previous best of £4.75 million struck to last year's winner Pete Bennett.

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "The twins will go down in BB history.

"They've managed to steer clear of all the bitching and backstabbing which has made them firm favourites amongst punters.

"If they're crowned queens of BB their army of fans will only increase.

"The only people they won't be popular with is the bookies. We stand to take a hammering if they pocket the £100,000 winner's cheque."

The girls are the red-hot 1/6 favourites to win the show.

And the layers are asking the question, 'What next for the inmates?' Unemployed Carole is 66/1 to become a Respect MP at the next General Election.

Ziggy is 10/1 to have a No 1 before the end of 2007, while fellow heartthrob Liam is 2/1 to appear in a Lynx advert.

The twins are 10/1 to release their own cosmetics range. Brian is 12/1 to appear on EastEnders and Jonty is 3/1 to present a show on the History Channel.

The twins may not live long enough to enjoy the adulation.

That is hysterical alanlapin cant stop laughing. Can just imaging Bunny in a purple rage on Friday ready to let loose on the twinnies if they emerge out of the house as the winners.

Those smileys have bugged me for years. They always seem to be there saying 'nah nah nah ne nah nah',

Now they can be redeemed, I'll think of them as the something far more pleasant.

This is Sam and This is Amanda

It's quite obvious to anyone who has been paying attention.

I don't really care who wins.

If I have to vote for any one I am with Bunny I have tick to Carole whom I dislike the most to peeve off everyone.

At the end of the day the reason we still have Carole in the house is because certain HMs when they had the chance many times, refused to nominate her. They all knew she was controlling, she has dominated the kitchen and every HMs has let her have her own way on everything. HMs keeps saying they fear her, but she is only one woman. Also HMs who leave the house have all said they like her - she has really fooled them

Carole has manipulated BB in to letting her have her own way even ignoring the fact she had broken rules.

I don't like Carole I wish she had left earlier but unfortunately she is still in the house and the people to blame for that is the HMs and BB producers. The show has been the Carole and to a lesser extent the Ziggy show. Unfortunately the villans of BB have contributed to BB more than the nicer personalities.

Just because someone is a nice person, that shouldn't be the reason he/she should win - it should be based on the contribution a HM has made.

I am also annoyed with HMs for not nominating her instead they picked on the HWH. Therefore we have had to put up with her on screens for all of these weeks As a punishment to HMs Carole should win for making us all suffer.
