Big Brother will be "more twisted than ever" this year, according to the Channel 4 reality show's producers.

Housemates will share one bedroom and one bathroom, all surrounded by glass walls. Executive producer Claire O'Donohoe said: "Cosy is not the word."

The house, where contestants will live for 13 weeks from 18 May, will be "inside out", with grass in the kitchen and carpet in the garden.

About 25,000 hopefuls applied to join the show, now in its seventh series.

Ms O'Donohoe said this year's contestants would be more exposed than ever.

"There are more glass walls in the house design and no hidey holes like last year's loft," she said.

"So the housemates will find it very difficult to get away from one another."

Contact with the outside world is forbidden, so housemates will also be forced to miss the World Cup.

A member of the public will win a place in the house by finding a golden ticket inside a chocolate bar.

One hundred tickets will be placed in Kit Kat bars and the winner will be picked at random during a live TV show.

Big Brother has scored massive ratings for Channel 4 since its debut in 2000.

Last year, 7.8 million people tuned in to see disco dancer Anthony Hutton win the show's £50,000 prize.

But the show's biggest audience came in its first year, when 9.5 million watched the series finale.

The company behind Big Brother, Dutch production firm Endemol, has sold the format to 37 countries worldwide.

hmm, more open...more stress.
more stress....more arguments.

Hmm, I can't imagine they want more moodiness than we had last year, but if the rats don't have any degree of privacy at times, it'll be even more stressful for them.

BB7- rowdy

BB7 = Unbearable watching.

If you thought last years was shyte, looks like this year will be worse with the constant arguing.
Where is the fun gone, last year there was hardly any...just tension and rivalry

Wonder if someone will try and smuggle in a couple of AK-47s............ that would liven it up a bit ::lol::

BB didn't even need to stir the pot with last years lot, think they were arguing and bitching in under 24 hours if I recall :x
BB always gets mauled for being irresponsible when they wind everyone up to an extent that it's a surprise to no-one when things get nasty, so I'm not sure why they try and encourage this more and more. It got immensely tedious at times last year when it was just an hour of 'whine, bitch, moan, argue' each show.

Totally agree (although I thought BB5 was worse)

I want the fun put back into BB too. Arguments are only good viewing if they are unexpected and infrequent, otherwise it's just car crash TV.

Big Brother:
15:06pm 10th May 2006

The house is ready, security's been hired, and the housemates are primed and raring to go. Yes, the countdown for the seventh series of Big Brother - which starts on Thursday May 18 - is well and truly under way.
Speculation has been mounting about what Channel 4 bosses have in store for BB fans this year. Rumours have included more housemates, a bigger house and more outlandish contestants, including a scatty old lady and a man with Tourette Syndrome.

But at last, Big Brother bosses have lifted their veil of silence about what we can expect this series.

Here's what we know so far: DailyMail

What a shock, the exact same rumours as every year!
A real surprise would be less housemates, an average sized house with not many gimmicks in it and a cutback on nutters and idiots

That could be arranged. However, a direct air-drop via helicopter would be my chosen method.

See which one of the rats grabs the package first of all, and then vents some fury. ()^

Calrissian: still.......after all this time.... lacks firearms

Didn't see any carpets outside the house when I checked those house pics. (link can be found in other thread)
Edit: my bad, there was a carpet.
