The Player on the BB site shows 3 streams though only one is active showing a More 4 preview.

Lets hope it's for real.

Says only available for Win 2000 and Win XP using Media Player 10 and a minimum of a 512K connection required.

This is the screen shot of the current player.

Looking through the java files it looks like they've gotten the software else where.
I did try and run the player from Win 98 and got an error report so it doesn't look good for 98 users.

Once the URL's are known then I'll use a multi-player to view what's going on. You just have the sound enabled on the stream you are following.
The software that was in the public domain played 4 streams from BBNL but didn't allow you to choose the audio. My version does ,though I have a thought lurking that there was an error that appeared after a while that I never looked into.

Either way you have the option on Quad or single streams. 9PM tomorrow and we'll find out what they have in store.

Nice of them to suggest buying the series pass for just £1.99, then when you get to the sign-up screen it say's it's £1.99 for 7 days - and 13 weeks of 7 days costs... £25.87!!!

Nice try C4, but that's when I stopped entering any more info!

When I first signed in before purchasing I thought it said £1.99 for a day pass ! Guess I didn't look hard enough.

I paid £7.99 for a series pass.
I already had an account from CBB4 so it was a lot quicker.

I'll reboot my 98 machine as WMP doesn't load at all for some reason.
The 98 PC just sits collecting Email all day long from the many Yahoogroups and forums I'm with.

And as you said after a reboot my old 1GHz Athlon does play the streaming though it did slow down quite a bit while it was playing.

I downloaded the page looking for the URLs but the applets (.js) don't give much away. Someone will have them posted on another forum once the show starts.

Lets hope they don't have anything planned for Friday night as I'm out recording a concert for most of the evening and again filming on Sunday night.

But a really hope we get a watchable series after the disappointing series 5/6. CBB4 was great so lets hope the producers have learnt something from that one.

You getting your win 98 to stream as well is reasuring... cant see them changing the software out of the blue on thursday .. so touch wood this Pc will be fine ...

The begining of BB is always the most frustrating part ,, you dont know names. faces , individuals and they all speak at once and make for bad viewing straight off ..

But I must say I dont hold up much hope for this years bunch ,, and I`m guessing the beer levels supplied will be just as frugal post fight night as ever ...

lets hope I`m wrong
