FAME is a fickle mistress at the best of times.
And after "dissing" girls in Swindon, Stuart Boyer is calling for people across the town to cut short one of the Big Brother contestant's 15 minutes in the limelight.
On Saturday night dance teacher Grace Short, branded new arrival blonde model Aisleyne as a "bird who looks like she belongs in Swindon or Slough".
Now Mr Boyer, 29, is calling on people across the town to back his petition to kick the 20-year-old Londoner out of the house for having a go at Swindon's girls.
"I decided to start the petition because she was dissing Swindon people," said Mr Boyer, manager of M4 Self Drive.
"I thought, hang on a minute, that's not on', and decided we needed to do something to stick up for the girls of Swindon, who are great."
Mr Boyer, who is a self-confessed Big Brother fanatic, said he always defends the town whenever he is visiting other parts of the country.
"People always ask why live in Swindon? And I have to tell them what a good place it is to live," he said.
"Compared to other places we have a relatively low crime rate, it's a nice place and the people are friendly."
And despite saying he didn't think she would be welcome if she visited the town, Mr Boyer would be happy to give Grace a tour.
"I'd take her to places like The Spot, Longs and The Apartment, all the nice bars in the town," he said.
"She's a bit of a posh girl isn't she, so I don't think I'd take her to places like the Town Gardens as her house is probably in the countryside and she would turn her nose up.
"I think I'd also take her to places like Penhill and show her what it's like to live in the real world."
It is not the first time Swindon has come under fire in the Big Brother house.
In January celebrity contestants spent an hour discussing the town to conclude that its only redeeming features were the Burberry store at the Swindon designer outlet centre and the Steam museum.
Moira Titcombe, who is a member of the Saltzgitter twinning committee, said she would get behind any campaign to get Grace out of the house. "I was really angry when I heard the comments. It is ridiculous that the town keeps getting continuously knocked," said the 67-year-old.
"What she said not only reflect badly on the girls in the town, who are no different to the rest of the UK, but the town as a whole.
"We are proud of our town and want to make the rest of the country see what a nice place Swindon is."
