Big Brother’s Final Conflict: Good V Evil

THAT it should come to this, a choice between Brian and Samanda.
Brian has goodness on his side. Untainted by life and untouched by knowledge, Brian is the idiot savant, the innocent doing battle with the forces of undiluted evil.

Samanda – see how she multiplies! – is two.

Right bow Brian stands only a 5-1 chance of success. Not too shabby but he was hot favourite for so long. Hot favourite right up until the point Amanda fluttered her eyelids at him (and a hurricane hit Jamaica).

Now Brian is adrift and Samanda is 7/5. The hope for Brian is that Samanda splits the vote.

But they won’t. The suspicion is that rather than vote for one or the other the voting public will vote for both. The masses are undecided and unable to spot any difference between the two.

But the warriors are choosing their sides for the final conflict. Liam, Ziggy and Jonty are all discussing nominations in the house and all think Brian (“number six”) should win.

Carole looks over at the twins. They don’t move. Some say they never move. Some say they never blink. Some say they are old crones trapped in the bodies of two two blonde owls.

"Just enjoy it tomorrow. One of the best days of your life that will be," says Carole, who has taken to speaking like a witch in Macbeth.

Says Carole: "They're not voting you out so much, they're voting you to win".

Carole talks in riddles. And a nervous world waits…

Punter puts £50k on BB twin win

Amanda Marchant, along with her twin Sam, is hot favourite to win

Here's proof that at least one person is still interested in Big Brother – a punter has risked £50,000 on a bet that dippy twins Sam and Amanda will win the show.

His flutter equalled the biggest for the programme – the same gambler sucessfully wagered £50,000 last month on It girl Charley Uchea getting evicted. At current odds of 1/6 on for the 19-year-old students, the Birminghambased gambler will bag about £8,000 if they triumph tonight.

"We have taken some whopping wagers on Big Brother but none bigger than this," said a spokesman for William Hill, which took the bet.

Despite much hype, the eighth series of Big Brother has proved a relative flop, with audiences dwindling from an average 4.5million viewers in the last series to 3.8million this year.

But William Hill revealed it faced a record pay-out despite the disappointing viewing figures. "Samanda" Marchant, as the pair have become known, are firm favourites to win the show, attracting £5million in bets.

They could become the first double act to win the Channel 4 reality show after deciding on Day 69 in the house to become a single entity.

The twins, from Newcastle-under- Lyme, are closely followed in the betting stakes by Brian Belo, with Liam McGough a distant third.

Bookies are still offering even money that Ziggy admits sleeping with Chanelle in his post-eviction interview.

BRIAN IN RACIST PLOT

NAZI nutters are targeting tonight’s Big Brother final in a sick bid to stop Brian Belo from winning.

The racists are furious over nice guy Bri’s relationship with Amanda Marchant and are desperate to turn fans against him. Extreme right-wing bloggers have posted vicious racist comments about him on the internet.

One loony forum user has even suggested that Brian, 20, and twin Amanda, 19, are not real contestants at all.

Instead, the web user claims Big Brother has hired ACTORS in order to promote “inter-racial relationships”.

The hate messages appear, among others, on the website American Renaissance – billed as promoting “a variety of white racial positions”.

One warped user, calling himself LOGIC, rants that relationships between black and white people are “sick and evil.” Another anonymous blogger describes the Big Brother romance as “unnatural” and “sordid”.

Communications giant Orange’s website has its own Big Brother section, where further racist comments about Amanda and Brian’s relationship have appeared.

They had been removed last night, but other forums were buzzing with anger at the “nasty and bigoted” filth that had been appearing.

One user called Jeremy fumed: “This is supposed to be a discussion about an event on Big Brother. What is a real shame is that there are so many bigots out there that would use this platform to air their hatred.”

Even bloggers on the official Big Brother website expressed their shock over racist comments they had seen.

One user wrote: “It is 2007 and I am surprised we still have racism going on.

“For all those racist people – grow up and get with the present day. Brian is great. Black or white, it doesn’t matter.”

A spokesman for Big Brother said last night: “As viewers are aware, Channel 4 does not condone racism of any sort.”

That Anorak article doesn't seem to know that Sam and Amanda count as one vote. They still seem to be talking as though they are being voted for separately, unless I have read it wrong.

As for the racism, that is terrible. Fancy trying to stop Brian from winning, just because he likes Amanda. :-?

It is odd how the Daiystar had this story on the final day..... :-?
Also, the anorak artical says.....But the warriors are choosing their sides for the final conflict. Liam, Ziggy and Jonty are all discussing nominations in the house and all think Brian (“number six”) should win.
On the live feed the other night I heard Liam and Brian say they hoped the twins won and that they thought the twins deserved to.

I think they should resolve their differences in one of those Celebrity Boxing Matches.

In fact I think this is the only future for Celebrity / Reality TV in this country.

Especially if it's as satisfying as the Rhino vs. Michael Carroll debacle.

Lennox Lewis vs Emily is my first request.

Where's the mystery?

It's Bunny.

His anti-twins campaign is merely a calculated tactic to lengthen their odds again.

Well, it allows them to print what the editorial team want to say (but the laws of this land rightly forbid) and what their 'readers' want to hear.

I'm surprised a Daily Star article had that many words in it.

And not a childish reference to women's body parts anywhere.

And let's not forget this was Chanelle's rag of choice for showing some skin for money.

Yes, it could be a ploy to encourage people to vote for Brian so that he beats the twins.

I reckon Brian has it all worked out in his head how he will react if he wins (based on how previous winners have reacted).

I think Brian will be happy to lose to the twins.

Obviously he'll be disappointed, especially after all the thought and effort he's put in (to say nothing of everyone in there, and occasional outside voices, telling him he's favourite). But it'll be easier for Brian to lose to the twins than to any of the others.

I'm really looking forward to the disappointment in Ziggy, Liam and Carole's faces.

And perhaps even a pleasant surprise in Jonty's if he finishes higher than fifth. (Unlikely.)

Not so unlikely... if everyone heeds the banner below ;)

The votes for the top two are massive... the others are probably still in single figures (they have always been quite low in the past). If you can spare a vote (and intend supporting the top three) then I urge you to use just one to vote for Jonty.

Once the first round of evictions has taken place, there's nothing preventing you from voting for the winner in the second round (they're guaranteed to make it now anyway).

To be sure, Jonty won't win but we can still pull the rug from under BB and provide a nice little final night shocker...

But only if people will spend the 25p ()^
