Post subject:  Who is your current favourite?
A month or so to go, who is currently the golden boy/girl for you?
Initially I stayed with Rachel for ages, then switched to Darnell a few weeks back but I'm tempted to go back to her again now...tbh, if Rachel, Kat or Darnell win and we get a shot of Luke, Rebecca etc. looking mighty peeved then I'll be happy :)

I voted for Darnell. This is the first time I've felt able to vote in a favourites post, as I've been indifferent to most of them for ages, with the exception of hating a few of them. I could also have voted for Rachel and Kat, who've showed the rest of them how to behave with grace and dignity despite much provocation, and to give decent advice to housemates who don't deserve a second of sympathy. Lisa's ok but I don't think has done anything to shine; I'm quite fond of Mohammed but again, he's not interesting enough; Stuart hangs out with the wrong people (Dale) but may be more interesting now he's gone; Mikey's very funny, but perverted which isn't attractive; Sara seems ok sometimes but I hated the way she played Darnell; the other two need to stay in the enclave of SW7 or NW3 or wherever they think's the most expensive place to live and not pollute anyone else's lives.

I voted for Rachel, for the reasons CT mentioned....but I'm veering towards Mikey. I notice that when I hear Marcus saying 'Mikey is in the Diary Room', I get interested. Mikey's comments on the other housemates are entertaining and often accurate.

After that, it'd be Kat, Darnell, Mo, Lisa, Stuart, Nicole.

Sara comes second-last because although she's likeable, I wouldn't trust her as far as I'd throw her, and she's humiliating Darnell - enjoying the attention, and keeping him dangling on a string.

And I find it difficult to even watch 'Nicole's boyfriend'.

Voted for Mikey. Didn't rate him at first but now find a lot of what he comes out with very entertaining and am indifferent to most of them. Quite like Stuart though I must admit, but I'm not sure why!

Rachel???Well,I'll be hung drawn and quatered for it but not for me.
Am sure she is a nice girl who sees the good in everyone.But with that quality comes the tendency to veer towards martyrdom.I feel HOH didnt always bring out her best qualities

Guess who I voted for? ;)

Would be strongly for Darnell winning but as he's likely to get a few votes anyway. I've gone for the cuddly underdog because he genuinely made me cry for him (and I don't often do that).

Oh gosh no.... How could you cuddle that prickly thing? She's the sort of posh tottie you want to see in Penthouse not on the next pillow to yours in the morning. Too rich for my blood I'm afraid.

Davina's recent video on the BB site where she talks about Mo was interesting. She's clearly assumed that everything Luke and Rebecca said about him is the complete truth:
"Mo, oh for goodness sake, can we give him some sort of a challenge where he has to stay awake for 24 hours or something? I mean, aw, DO SOMETHING MO!"
Yeah...like staying awake for a stakeout? Or to hear alarms go off in a room and have to stop them over the course of the night? Good to see Davina paying as much attention to the show as ever..... :roll:

I was aware of Davina's recent comments about Mo but haven't had the strength to go listen to them yet.

You know, there's probably a briefing note that is issued to all the front of house crew containing a bullet point list for each HM. Mohamed: Greedy, lazy, fat. Lisa: Plastic, wierd, eye makeup. etc etc.

Now, for the purposes of 'building' a recognisable character for the viewer that's fine... but you'd think they'd update it as the show progresses.

Take this week... and can you believe people are still saying "what does Mo do except eat and sleep?"... Well he made himself go to bed early everynight so he wouldn't have a problem waking in the mornings (as a favour to Rachel during her term as HOH). He's the one that has been tottering around in strappy sandals all week and he was brilliant in the task - going far beyond what the task required (by camping it up).

I know not everyone can pay attention to every detail but I'm astonished they miss these seminal moments. Same with Darnell who was being blasted a few weeks back for not having washed up when actually he's doing it most days.... and yet the Dales, Bex's and Luke do nothing.

Mohamed maybe isn't the most energetic in some areas but he's never been the worse by a long shot. I still remember him spending 3 hours cleaning up the Hell side bedroom alone (unprompted and without fuss) after it had been vacated by Luke and Bex (who had gone to heaven).

Anyway... who knows, perhaps when all is done a few more might appreciate the magic of Mo (and in fairness some of the others who have similarly been maligned)?

I'm just pleased he's still there... as the series winds down we'll be relying on him for more of the fun in an ever quieter House.

Currently, I'm loving the Mikey, though that may not last if he does any more disgusting food antics. I'm also (can't believe I'm saying this) warming to Rachel. Dammit! :8o:
