Quote: A BB insider confirmed to TV Biz: "There hasn't been a mid-week eviction this series so nobody will be expecting it." That's precisely why they will be, surely

Ooh… surprise double eviction alert! We’ve been waiting like eager little beavers to find out what BB’s next twist would be – and now we know. And we can’t keep secrets, so we’re going to tell you. On Tuesday 2 September, the housemates will get a nasty surprise – two of them will be evicted, just three days before the big final. Ha, that’s gotta hurt. There’s also an extra live show scheduled for next Wednesday (27 August), but at the moment, the important people at BB HQ are saying it’s merely a live task. Hmm… a live task leading to another eviction? Or some sort of twist relating to the prize fund, a la Liam and Eugene (oh God, it’s a long time since we’ve thought of him)? We shall see. But all this means the house will be pretty empty by the time the final rolls around, which can only be a good thing – it still feels really crowded in there, and we always find that the show gets better when it just focuses on a handful of housemates. heatworld |

So it's not this week's eviction? I hope it's Rex and possibly Mohammed, considering Nicole must go this week. |

We’ve got some VERY exciting Big Brother news… … but we can’t tell you what it is yet. Yep, there’s a big twist coming our way, but BB have sworn us to secrecy until midnight tonight. If you can keep yourself awake (probably best not to watch Rachel on the live feed, eh?), come back here when the clock strikes twelve to find out exactly what will be going on tomorrow night – it’s one of their most cunning and potentially explosive twists yet. In the meantime, perhaps you might like to speculate on what the hell’s going on? What twist would you like to see going down in that there house to shake things up a bit? heatworld |

On BBLB they said that the HMs would be nominating and that one of them could win 50K - which will be separate to the existing 100K prize fund. |

Wednesday£50k Prize At Stake We wrote this article yesterday afternoon saying that normal nominations would take place today, Tuesday the 26th of August. Actually they're not taking place today. Doh! When we published that article, internet forums went into a bit of a frenzy, with fans convinced that Wednesday's night's special live task would decide who faces eviction this week, not nominations. However, that's not the case, as the Eleventh and final round of nominations will definitely take place, it's just that Channel 4 have decided to move the procedure forward a day. So, we can categorically say for sure that the nominations WILL take place on Wednesday night (27/08/08), and whatsmore, they'll be shown live. This is bound to cause panic among the contestant group, who are usually well prepared for the procedure. Also, it often takes hours and hours for everyone to nominate, but seeing as the first of the two live shows is only on for an hour, the eight housemates will have to crack-on and give their reasons quickly. We said before that Channel 4 are anticipating two nominees, and that's still the case. However, as-per the rumours, the task is all about winning money, as whoever goes up for eviction will compete in a live task to win £50,000. This money will not affect the overall £100k prize fund, and the nominees will still face eviction on Friday whoever wins the cash. And it's entirely feasible that the winner of the live task could go on to win the series, thereby scooping a total of £150k. Presumably that person won't be Mohamed though, as traditionally the Head of House cannot be nominated; if that rule stands, he shouldn't be eligible to take part in the task. We also assume that the housemates won't be told about the live task before they nominate. So, there you go. Sorry that we weren't quite right in our previous article, but Big Brother reserves the right to change its mind at any time... the miserable and awkward old entity! BBOnline |

However are they going to fit all that in? |

Christine wrote: However are they going to fit all that in? Given that BB tends to take its sweet time doing anything, that's a fair question. I suppose they could say they don't have to give full and frank reasons this week which would mean they'd only need a minute or 2 each as opposed to the usual half hour trying to extract a bunch of reasons out of them. |

Ooh fun! I'm glad there are gonna be nominations, that's the best part of the week apart from the eviction! |

Big Brother's brilliant new twist revealed! There's nothing like a good old Big Brother plot twist to get everyone all excited, is there? We've known for a while that there is a second show planned for tonight (that's Wednesday, for anyone, like us, who's been up too long and is feeling confused), but there was a lot of mystery surrounding what was actually going to happen. Well, now we know – and it's brilliant! First of all, the housemates will be told that they must nominate who they want to evict in front of their fellow housemates. Ooh, CRINGE city! We wonder how Rachel is going to cope with that? It's not all doom and gloom, though, as there's a small light at the end of the tunnel for the unlucky two with the most votes – they will go head-to-head in a game of jeopardy, with the winner scooping a huge £50,000! Wowsers! This prize money will not affect the overall winner's £100,000, but in theory, the same housemate could win both. We LOVE it! There's nothing like the promise of a bit of cash to show people's real colours. Who do you think will get the most votes? And if you could award one housemate £50,000 right this second then who would it be? We'd be tempted to say Mikey, because he desperately needs a new wardrobe, or maybe Rex, because it would annoy the others SO much, or maybe Lisa, so she and "Mazza" can have their dream wedding, or perhaps Darnell, so maybe he'd stop moaning for one blinkin' minute. Whoever ends up in the frame, it's going to be totally unmissable telly, don't you think? heatworld |

These things are always a let down though, you'll end up with Darnell saying 'vote for me!' and everyone doing so. Don't know who else will be up with him, Sara maybe. And not quite sure what the point of throwing money into it is other than for the sake of it. |

Madeline wrote: Or some sort of twist relating to the prize fund, a la Liam and Eugene (oh God, it’s a long time since we’ve thought of him) oh no. Can you imagine the uproar if Darnell was given a case of cash, or worse...Rex. - Hmm, well, its 1am Wednesday. I wonder what they have in store. I would think it might be that the winner of a task...ohh yes... might this be it... The winner of the task has to decide two housemates for the kick. So, we get a kooky task, and then 10 minutes of seeing Rachel repeat 'ohh BigBrother, I can't, I love them all so much'. ---- *err....just read the latter posts, so it WILL be about one housemate winning a chunk of currency and open nominations . Hmm, that'll do I guess. Calrissian: would put up Darnell vs. Sara |
