Post subject:  DARNELL launches festival
BIG Brother star Darnell Swallow was in Ipswich today to launch the Respect festival.

Following a small parade through town, the festival which is now in its fifth year was launched at midday at Suffolk New College.

Darnell, 26, opened the festival to a crowd of cheering fans and gave a special performance of his new single, Shonin, to kick start his nationwide tour. He sang two other tracks about his time in the Big Brother house.

Darnell back in town

A large crowd, mainly consisting of teenage girls, turned up at Suffolk New College on Saturday to see the reality television star return to the town of his birth to open the festival, which promotes racial harmony
