Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton will be flicking the switch on Preston's Christmas Lights this year

Big Brother nine's Stephanie McMichael will put in an appearance at the event, organised by Rock FM and The North and Western Chamber of Commerce.

Preston kicks off Christmas

This youngster was one of a sea of enchanted faces which signalled the start of Christmas 2008 in Preston.

Big Brother contestant Stephanie McMichael, X Factor finalists Same Difference and former Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton were part of the entertainment at the two-hour spectacular last night.
