REALITY TV favourite Mikey Hughes is bringing two more Big Brother stars to Kilwinning this week as he gears up to play the part of best man at their wedding.

Mario and Lisa, who appeared on BB alongside the former St Michael’s Academy pupil, will be swinging by the town ahead of their wedding on Saturday.

The pair were the first couple to enter the famous Channel Four house and have picked pal Mikey, who was runner-up in the show, to do the honours as their best man as they open the Scottish Wedding Fair with a staged wedding.

Mikey, a DJ at specialist blind station Insight Radio said: “It’ll be an absolute carry-on. These are the first people from the Big Brother house to physically come up and see me so it should be nice.”

“Don’t be surprised if you see us around Kilwinning Main Street.”

Mikey is best man this time

FORMER Paisley University and Big Brother favourite Mikey Hughes has got up close and personal with two of his former housemates to launch a wedding show.

Big Brother couple Mario Marconi and Lisa Appleton are tying the knot after he proposed live on the reality show.

The pair joined Mikey to launch the Scottish Wedding Show, which takes place at the SECC in Glasgow this weekend.

Blind Mikey, who was BB9 runner up, was their best man for the event – which the Paisley Daily Express gave tickets away for.

Mikey studied for a degree in Quality Management at the town’s uni and it set him on the road to becoming a radio producer.

Lisa said: “We are planning our 2009 wedding and want to check out all the trends for weddings. We have not yet decided where to get married yet, and haven’t ruled out tying the knot in Scotland.”

Big Brother couple visit Kilwinning

Fulfilling a promise he made in the house, Kilwinning contestant Mikey Hughes brought Mario Marconi and Lisa Appleton to his home town to visit the Mother Lodge. Mario, a Master Mason, had asked Mikey about the lodge while they were in the Big Brother house.
