Imogen Thomas claims reputation 'trashed' by gagging order

Imogen Thomas, the former Big Brother contestant whose relationship with a married Premier League footballer was made the subject of a court gagging order, along with the Sun is seeking to overturn the injunction.

Thomas said on Monday she was "stunned" after Mr Justice Eady reserved judgment in the high court on whether to lift the gagging order and published his reasons for granting the injunction in April.

"Yet again my name and reputation have been trashed while the man I had a relationship with is able to hide," said Thomas, speaking outside the high court.

"What's more I can't even defend myself because I have been gagged. If this is the way privacy injunctions are supposed to work there is something seriously wrong with the law.

Ryan Giggs named in injunction row

The footballer at the centre of a gagging order over a relationship with reality TV star Imogen Thomas has been named by an MP in the Commons as Ryan Giggs.

Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming, who has been campaigning on the issue, said: "With about 75,000 people having named Ryan Giggs on Twitter, it is obviously impracticable to imprison them all."

The MP's action finally lifted the blackout on mainstream media identifying the Manchester United star even though a High Court judge had again refused to lift the injunction earlier today.

Imogen thought Giggs would marry her Sun

I am sorry but I do not feel any sympathy for situation Imogen has landed herself in.
I have not read anywhere that she has apologized to Gigg's partner or his children - she has dated enough footballers to know the game she was playing with him, inside-out, one can only hope all this so called indignation she is feeling will keep her well away from the VIP area of the footie party scene - full of the married men who will never look at her as anything other then the ardent groupie she seems to have become. :oops:

Imogen's revenge! Bookie signs Giggs's girl for mischievous ad campaign... just make sure you keep your eye on the ball, Ryan!

The Big Brother, star who had an affair with the footballer, took part in a photo shoot - dressed in a United shirt - with betting website Paddy Power for this Saturday's match.

The bookie has refused to reveal the details of the campaign that they will be carrying out at the weekend, but it is believed there could be some high-profile trickery, including distracting pitchside displays.
