I thought Marcus talked a great load of sense last night - I don't like him, but he's certainly perceptive. And he was man enough to tell Noirin her faults, but in a way that was definitely intended to help her avoid nomination.

Karly does seem to be a nice girl, and Sophie's pretty vacant, but sweet.

Rodrigo is a sensible boy, and I hope to see more of him as the weeks go on. Freddie has a lovely way about him when he's trying to talk sense to Angel, and the others are just sooo mean about him. He'd do my head in too, if I was in there, but they might have given him a week off the nominations! The poor guy must feel so isolated in there now!

I did - free for five years - but when they said I would have to start paying for it, I gave it up.

When I realised that video was going out in favour of DVD I bought a DVD recorder with built in hard drive. The 10 formatted blank DVD's I put to one side to use with it are gathering dust, we record everything to HD and just delete it afterwards. I think I've dubbed a couple of things to DVD to save for another day.

The machine is a Wharfdale, with Freeview built in, originally sold at Argos, but I got mine at BigPockets - yep, they still have them.

I debated changing the HD for a bigger one, but we've not needed to. At first we went mad and recorded loads of stuff, then realised we had not left ourselves time to watch it, so we settled down to setting it for things we didn't want to miss, as we used to with Video.

It even has a built-in 7 day EPG that is linked to the record facility, you pick the programme and it sets the day, time and channel etc. This is one disadvantage as you cannot edit that to add 5 minutes ot the end, in case it over-runs, so we stick to manual setting for a lot of things - to save the end getting chopped off.

No - I'm not on commission for selling them...!

Marcus is really growing on me - he was superb last night and bang on the money about Noirin and the cooking. Marcus is, I think, going to do something heroic soon, in the vein of Craig vs Nasty Nick in series 1. I just have a feeling about it.

Poor old Angel, on self-destruct but what a shame she's going tonight while the odious Charlie remains in the house (is there any chance we'll rid ourselves of this hideous disco-bunny?)

I'm also really warming to Rodrigo, who seems a sweet kid, but with enough of an edge to make him a potential winner. Also, still loving Karly and Siavash, although Karly is too close to The Beast (Lisa) for my liking.

Kris is a nob, but he's pretty so I don't mind if he stays in for AGES but Charlie is really getting on my nerves. I HATE HIM. Yeah, I know I said that already.

You're bang on the money about Marcoose - I thought on opening night that he was so 'ordinary' he was a bit different. (Ordinary in the having no pretensions kind of way)

Karly's accent and turn of phrase are hugely entertaining and little Rodney, well I hope something comes of him soon. I really liked him at the start ("Quiette - ees seerios now" ) and think there's maybe a reason that he's not featuring very much yet.

I am off to Donegal this evening, and will probably miss the eviction shows - but I do wonder how it will pan out. Angel has done herself no favours at all this week, and seems to me to be a little unhinged! But there will always be people who like to see odd characters in the house, and they may be sick of Freddie by now. He's a bit predictable, really.

Marcus has the tic-tacs of the game down to a tee, unfortunately for Noirin she is so pissed off at Angel for the overweight comments she is not heeding what Marcus is saying to her.
I dread to think what Marcus would say to her if he found out she didn't nominate Sree.
