To be honest, I think the focus was on Kris and Dogface, and it wasn't an entirely favourable edit for Kris. He came across as a bit of a tw*t, although I detected a certain amount of emotional vulnerability that might account for said tw*ttitude.

Even if the editors are trying to avoid showing Charlie in a bad light, they aren't succeeding very well, as he seems to be universally disliked on the various forums. The message seems to have got out loud and clear that he's a charmless nerk.

Quite an enjoyable episode, all told.

Maybe on the forums, but what about the general public? I met someone the other day who just watches the Highlight Shows and asked her who her favourite was and she said 'Charlie I really love Charlie.'

Charlie is one of the biggest game players in there. He is trying hard to tolerate and be friendly towards everyone in there to avoid getting nominated, and I think he will probably succeed in that. He keeps acting up for the cameras and has some filthy habits which are not being broadcast unfortunately. Everything he does seems so contrived to me and he likes to get his kicks at other people's expense.

As for Kris, he is in a difficult position, because according to a newspaper article, before he went on the show, he got together with a PR man (who did the same for Rex last year apparently) and they wrote to lots of model girls and asked them to pose with Kris and have their photo taken with him and make up a story of their time together to sell to the papers. The girls were told what to say and promised a photo shoot and about £300 I think if they agreed to do it. His PR man would then sell the stories to newspapers and share the proceeds with Kris, but this has backfired on him a bit (although obviously he doesn't know it yet) because one girl refused to go along with it and told one paper the truth about what he was going to do.

I notice there have been a few stories out about him and some girls, but I don't reckon all of them will be out now as we now know them to be lies.

I think this is probably why he wouldn't tell Sophie how many girls he has slept with and it has now put him in an awkward position. I think the intention was to carry on selling these stories after he was out of the house.

He knows that if she is evicted before him, she will see these stories and believe them. He can't obviously tell her about them either whilst he is in the house, because then that would mess up the plan.

He is now probably not sure what to do.

Charlie is only 5th in the betting though, according to Oddschecker. I think the general viewers did like him initially but I think they're going off him (or so I fervently hope).

It seems to me that he thinks he has the 'formula' for being a winning housemate. In my opinion never has the term 'fake' applied more to a housemate than to him.

Yes I agree. Fake is definitely a good way to describe him.
