Day 26 9:57am Last night Faye and Maisy discovered that they would face the public vote. In the bathroom, Tom reassures Maisy about her nomination. Maisy tells him that she thinks she could be up because of her close friendship with Faye. “I don’t think that people think you have a witch’s corner,” Tom tells her. Anton, Faye and Aden are in the kitchen. “If you do anything in this house, it gets frowned upon,” Faye muses for the reason she is up for nomination. Anton remarks: “Aaron got naked, got his willy out kissed a boy! We didn’t know those characteristics until he was up for nomination.” They talk about changing your persona to win over the voters. Faye tells them, “It’s weird to think that I could be sitting with my family again.” Yesterday, Mark told Big Brother that he was thinking of leaving. Mark comes to the diary room to say that he doesn’t want to take the decision lightly and wants to stay for now. 10:52am For this week’s shopping task housemates will be part of Big Brother’s Toy Factory. Jay has declared himself the bossiest housemate and will assume the role of boss. He chose Anton and Aden to be his Factory Managers and the rest of the housemates will be Factory Workers. The managers enjoy a cooked breakfast while the workers settle for a bowl of porridge. Aaron turns his bowl upside down and the porridge doesn’t fall out. “I’m not going to put that in my tummy if it’s stuck to the plate,” Aaron comments before flicking a spoonful of porridge at Mark. Mark flicks some back and before long both housemates are covered in their breakfast. 11:10am Housemates continue with their shopping task and must make enough toys to hit the target set by Big Brother, in order to win a luxury shopping budget. The large task room has been transformed into a toy factory. Aaron tells housemates: “I bet we have to fail this in order to pass.” “You think there’s a twist?” Louise questions. Boss Jay is in the manager’s office and tells managers Anton and Aden that they must make sure that the workers reach their targets. In the toy factory, the workers are throwing things all around the room. Boss Jay uses his tannoy to tell them to “Stop, now!” The Housemates continue to mess up the factory. 11:37pm Boss Jay is writing up a certificate for his favourite worker, Louise. Big Brother calls one worker to the diary room and Tom complies. Big Brother sets him a secret mission. He must make more toys than his fellow workers in order to increase the shopping budget. Big Brother gives Tom a bowl of fruit as a cover story should any of his co-workers become suspicious. Boss Jay announces on the tannoy for Louise to come to the manager’s office. Louise enters the office and Jay greets her then asks: “Can you make me a cup of coffee please.” “Yes boss,” smiles Louise and heads off to the kitchen. When she returns Boss Jay presents her with her with her certificate and the two of them hug. “Can I go now?” she asks, “Yes, have a nice day” Jay smiles as Louise leaves the office. 12:12pm The workers have been stuffing teddy bears for one hour and two minutes and so far have completed 41 bears. Tom is responsible for nine. Boss Jay is hard at work, playing pool. Big Brother calls a worker to the diary room and Maisy answers the call. Big Brother sets her a secret mission, to make more bears than anyone else. Maisy is excited and tells Big Brother: “I’m sweating, work is so hard!” Maisy returns to the factory where she and Tom battle away while the rest of the workers fool around. 3:14pm After a short break, workers return to the factory to find all the parts to compete the second part of their task, making dolls. “Look at the tits on that!” Harry comments as he looks through the boxes. In the office, boss Jay is getting creative using motivational tactics. He tells his managers: “I need to boost moral so I’ve wrote a poem.” The workers end up having a toy fight. Boss Jay reads his poem about the “special people in the house” over the tannoy and mentions each housemate in turn. “Louise you are gorgeous, proper wow unreal, beautiful inside and out you’re defo the real deal, never been shady love you baby hope a date is on the cards, I’ll wine and dine you out of here, just you mark my words,” recites Boss Jay. In the factory Louise smiles as other housemates cheer. “Lou’ is a date on the cards?” questions Anton and Louise nods sheepishly. 4:08pm Worker housemates must assemble 200 dolls in two hours. Maisy has come to the diary room. “My secret task is going pear shaped,” she worries. She says that Alex and Tom are working fast and she is producing the same amount of dolls. Boss Jay has called workers Alex and Tom to his office. He tells them that they have been “the best workers,” and presents them with gold stars. In the factory, Maisy accuses Aaron of sabotaging her dolls by pulling them apart. Aaron denies this. Tom and Alex return to the factory and boast about their reward. “We’re the best workers,” Tom chants. “I’ve done loads!” Maisy blasts and tells Aaron: “I can’t believe you’ve done nothing.” “We failed after the first task anyway,” Aaron retorts. “Is this a fake task?” Faye asks manager Aden and he says that it isn’t. Some of the workers question the fact that some of their completed dolls are missing. “It’s because two workers called Aaron and Jay have ripped them up,” Aden reveals. Boss Jay walks into the factory. “Aaron ripped my dolls,” Tom shouts and Aaron retorts: “That’s slanderous.” 6:46pm In the factory the workers are now making packs of playing cards. They start working diligently but soon, Aaron and Harry begin to mess about, throwing cards around. Jay calls Aaron and Harry to the office where he fires them. 7:20pm Jay, Aden and Anton collect the packs of cards from the workers and Jay takes them to the diary room. Jay tells Big Brother that being boss has “been hard work” and “stressful.” He says that if it were up to him, those who “grafted” should be rewarded while the others would live on chickpeas. He tells them that “people were trying to be clever because I had the job of boss.” In the toy factory the workers are throwing the playing cards about and are messing around as they celebrate the end of the task. 9.22pm Big Brother has just told housemates that they passed all three challenges. Tom succeeded in his secret mission to make the most toys and has boosted the luxury shopping budget to £500. Big Brother has provided some celebratory lager. Mark goes to the diary room and tells Big Brother he wants to leave the house. “I feel like a trapped bee in a jar,” he says. Big Brother asks Mark what will make him stay in the house: “No more cameras,” he replies, “I’m now aware I’m being filmed, I’m at the end of my sell-by date,” he confesses. Big Brother tells him they will set the wheels in motion for him to leave. Big Brother adds that Mark must return to the diary room in the morning with his final decision. Mark returns to the living area and announces his plans to his housemates. They are all shocked apart from Aaron. Mark reassures his fellow housemates that his decision is nothing to do with any of them. “I said from day one, if I’m not having fun I can’t stay,” adding: “I just don’t want to be filmed anymore.” In the toilet Alex and Tom are sad about Mark’s decision and are sobbing while hugging each other. Aden comforts Jay in the bedroom who is also upset about Mark wanting to leave. “He can’t take it,” Aden tells him “there’s no point in getting upset mate.” The two hug. 11:37pm It’s been just over two hours since Mark told Housemates he was leaving in the morning. He goes around housemates speaking about his decision. Jay tells him he loves him and that he is devastated. In the diary room, Harry tells Big Brother that he did not expect to get so close to people in the house so quickly but that he has been feeling teary this evening. Jay says it feels like someone has ripped his heart out. Aaron says that Mark made the Big Brother experience for him whether it was sitting around talking or “getting hit in the danglies”. Mark and Aaron are in the bathroom discussing Mark’s decision to leave. Aaron is crying and quips: “Faye and I must be the most dehydrated couple in history” due to amount of times they have cried while in the house. Aaron tells Mark he loves him and they hug.
